SPEAKER_01

This podcast was produced on the land of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation. Welcome to Australia. This is kind of tragic.

SPEAKER_00

Someone who is such a connoisseur of reality television. The content is hideous.

SPEAKER_02

So sorry about this. Oh my god.

SPEAKER_01

Hi. Hi. Gene Litzer. Hello. Welcome back to the podcast. It's been a minute. I'm excited. What was the last time you were here?

SPEAKER_00

BBAU? BBAU.

SPEAKER_01

B B A U Big Brother Australia, The Reboot.

SPEAKER_00

Which I thought was quite good. Just not long enough.

SPEAKER_01

It was very short. Well, so let's start there. The rumors in the the rumour mill are that it's back again. Right. Actually, no, I think that's sorry, it's confirmed it's back. Because there was the casting scam scandal.

SPEAKER_00

Right. Of course.

SPEAKER_01

Yes. But the rumours are that it'll be one week longer.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. Yes. Which I'm like, sure. I mean, we can't early 2000s, like, levels were out of control. It wouldn't even work. There's like a hundred weeks. There was a billion episodes.

SPEAKER_01

We had nothing to do. We had nothing to do. Except watch the bum dance. No, so so apparently it's one week longer, and they've apparently they've moved the location to Brisbane. From the GC. Gas down the down the road.

SPEAKER_00

So I wonder if that tacky. You know that GC tack, which we we see so much of in the show that we're talking about today.

SPEAKER_01

And the rides. Not just the tack, it was like remember Dreamworld. Remember there were like literal people on rides peering over the fence, being like Bruce! Yeah, where's Bruce? Where's Gretel? Gretel, like proper interference from the outside world thanks to Dreamworld on the Gold Coast.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I I'm I'm interested to see it. Like I I I there was lots of things I thought that were really well done about it. Yeah, yeah, the casting made maybe too many names that sounded the same. Yeah. That was just weird.

SPEAKER_01

And too many young people. Yeah, mix it up, mix it up. And there were too many like people that it was then later revealed they're like aspiring musicians or like content creators, like no no no no no no no.

SPEAKER_00

We want Reggies. We're the Regis of the world.

SPEAKER_01

Go to the fish and chip shop and be like, do you want to be on a show? Yeah. To whoever is behind the counter.

SPEAKER_00

It's it's those characters in normal life. That's I mean, it's that's I think that's what is a little bit annoying about reality TV is when people are using it so clearly as a vehicle. Unless, of course, there's a competition reality show about artists and that that's different. But like you're just like, I just want to see some characters, right?

SPEAKER_01

Uh speaking of characters, we need to talk about this fucking racist white lady on Instagram. I'm not gonna use her name, but have you seen this woman doing these clips? You haven't seen this? Hang on, what are we what tell me more? Tell me more. She's a comedian.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, I know what you're talking about. Sorry, it just took me a second to just like because I'm like witch racist.

SPEAKER_01

Well, at the moment, I'm not talking about Pauline.

SPEAKER_00

This is this is a nightmare.

SPEAKER_01

This is welcome to Pauline Hansen's Australia. Oh, it's a little bit scary. The fact and the scary part isn't her, like, look, she's clearly just like fucking stupid, right? Absolutely. And that's a problem in itself. But then the the double down and the triple down, I'm like, oh okay, you're not, you're stupid and dangerous.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, yeah. It's just like a a wild rhetoric, isn't it? Just like just coming from every angle kind of thing. I know I kept seeing that video and was just like, I know she did another one.

SPEAKER_01

She did that one, then SBS got it taken down because they used their logo and she literally just put it back up with a different logo. Right. Then obviously sparked huge outrage, as it fucking should have. I was actually just like because you know, we talk a bit on this bot about, you know, in Australian media, some of these things have sort of slipped through the cracks and we've reprimanded them to date. Like Chris Lilly comes to mind. Sure, absolutely. A certain drag queen on a certain drag show comes to mind. But that's like it just goes to show that like progress isn't linear. Because here we are in 2026, and this bitch is just like she still has like 60,000 followers or something. To which I'm like, who are these people?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I mean, change is incremental and it's slow. And and I I think like when you hear like you know, people grassroots working politicians who work with the community, it's like two steps forward, one step back. I don't know how they do it, honestly, sometimes, because it's hard, it which it's hard, you know. I mean, when the referendum got knocked back this year in Australia, it was just a brutal moment, right?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, and unfortunately, moments like that kind of do enable things like this where now there's certain sort there's a certain cohort that feel empowered, yeah. And also thanks to you know, just the global situation of fuckery from the right, but like also we've living in this world now where half of the people defending her online are probably fucking bots, let's be honest. Do you know what I mean? Whereas like back back in the day it was kind of like, yeah, you were just kind of like cancelled or whatever. Hate that term, but that kind of thing. And then, you know, maybe there was a teachable moment, maybe there wasn't, whatever. But now it's kind of like we live in this world where scary motherfuckers like this are just out there being like, what? And then she got fired from her job from the peninsula hot springs, which I was like, of course she fucking works.

SPEAKER_00

Of course she wide could work. The most blue-ribbon liberal fucking right wing like area.

SPEAKER_01

Love, love, love, and I love that they find her great, as they fucking should. Yeah, as if they want customers to walk in, see her, and be like, I'm not fucking like if I walked in and she was going to the desk, I'd be like, my money is not going to this business. Yeah. See ya. So it's like, of course, what do you think? And then but turning that into a victim storyline and then still doing it. And I just but what I do love is when it's reported on now, they put the word comedian in covers.

SPEAKER_00

The shade. I love, I love correct. Yeah, because is it funny? No, no, no, sorry. Sorry, hun. Sorry, like I I've seen real comedians.

SPEAKER_01

It's not at all like it's you are not Chris Lilly, who, yes, made huge mistakes, but at least there were nuggets of absolute humour, and there was at least a a a perspective from some of those characters. Absolutely. Even if they were yeah, a bit properly.

SPEAKER_00

He spent a lot of time with tonguing people, etc. Whatever. Yeah, whatever.

SPEAKER_01

We're not like no, I'm not giving him a free pass. Don't don't um get that twisted. But yeah, it's like they're not comparable things. The other comparison I saw online was um someone likened her to Ray Gun. Oh my god, brilliant, sure, maybe for the like the cringe of it, but Ray Gun wasn't spreading hate. She just No, she was spreading cringe. Yeah. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Which you know, I also entitled White Lady.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

You know, which I love.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, when she got all annoyed about like the unauthorized musical about her or whatever. That's why everyone was like, you suck. Yeah. But at least she wasn't fucking out there. Oh, no. Just being so offensive and and giving zero fucks about you know, hurting people and spreading hate. So I don't know if I fully endorsed that comparison, but I did have a chuckle when I saw it. I was like, oh yeah. Here we go again.

SPEAKER_00

It is it is a bit of a I don't know, it's like so cyclical because you know, this week, this rec this week we had Pauline Hansen like protests and stuff like that. And like when I was 18 or 17, I went to a Pauline Hansen protest where we protested in Perth, like a re like a reception center just near my house, and I was like, fuck that, you know. And here we are, and I'm like a million years old now. It's crazy. And so, yeah, it's an odd time. And it's interesting to see as we're you know, we're on a talking about reality TV, that they're they're using reality TV tropes in a way to try and communicate their shitty message, you know, like playing the victim, all that sort of stuff.

SPEAKER_01

Like Pauline's got a uh cartoon series called Please Explain. Have you seen this? Oh my god, and it is like proper, it it's it's it's actually fascinating because I've watched some of it, some of it is actually really funny because it's been written and produced by a whole team of people. They they sort of just fund it. Yeah. Um, and obviously it's filled with uh insanely problematic messages, but it is really interesting because it's kind of like South Park, but like on the other team. No, no, no. I'd highly recommend watching just a little bit because it really gives you a window into the supporters, her supporters, and why she's become so popular. Because it and I think she's got this show a huge part to thank for that. Yeah. For her popularity, but like, yeah, and now um it's kind of grown into this thing. If you criticize her or it like um Tom Ballard did recently on his podcast, she's then like put him in the show as a as a as like a you know, lefty comedian or whatever. So she will actually sort of like come for you.

SPEAKER_00

Wow, that is which bring it on, bitch. But uh you are so dumb and boring. Take on Tom Ballard. I fucking dare you. Yeah, you know, it's wild. That is that is I I and you know what you made a good point. You do have to make sure that you're like seeing what it is from the other side. Like every now and then I'm like, oh, I need to turn on channel seven for a second. Like I because I I am just in a bubble, and then go, oh, and it's like seven eight is the worst, you know, like, but yeah, like it because otherwise you you're just like, yeah, we all agree, right? We all agree.

SPEAKER_01

You can't just live in in your bubble, unfortunately. Not the moment, anyway. Because if you do, it's like it's head in the sand shit, yeah, unfortunately. Yes. Fun times, fun times.

SPEAKER_00

Um, All-Stars 11. I feel like some, I guess, I guess it's it just rolls on. And I feel like it just washes over me a little bit. It does roll on, doesn't it? That's a very good way to put it. So like the rounds, and then there's just that's a lot of queens, it's a lot of visual stimuli to just be like queen, queen, queen, queen, queen, queen, queen. Okay, I I just want it whittled down. So like I was honestly like, oh, can we just get to the part where we're just with the whatever whoever's left, you know?

SPEAKER_01

When mother opens the show, being like in the second part of the third bracket, the five, I mean, you I'm the fuck, excuse me.

SPEAKER_00

I I could I the minute AI came in, yeah, those descriptions became nonsensical. Like the point where you could not actually follow them. They'd be like, it's the bracket and level A, and then blah blah blah. It's like that is not yeah, and and and you know, like they in they keep doing it where they just throw up a graphic, yeah, just explain it. They're like, no, no, yeah. Rue will explain it once to camera, she will only do it one time, she will not do another take. It's wild. It's wild.

SPEAKER_01

Like, I something has to serve there has to be like an earthquake onset for Rue to do another take, I reckon. I reckon she's there. There's a there is a timer.

SPEAKER_00

I think if she down, if she corpses, if she cracks it, cracks up, then that's fine.

SPEAKER_01

I reckon there's two timers. There's like the time, and then there's like her fee per minute. And they're just ticking and all everyone can see it. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

They're like, you know, we we don't even need Rue for this part. Let's just uh let's just record without Rue. Rue, stay in your trailer.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

But yeah, let's just.

SPEAKER_01

Oh my god, speaking of AI and Rue, did you see the like allegations that stop that train? Hit film now in in cinemas now.

SPEAKER_00

I know Adam Shankren was just like, you know what? I'm gonna have to come out and yeah, yeah, very very interesting stuff because I think also people are so confused now, understandably, because AI is just, you know, taking over our lives. But of course RuPaul's using AI.

SPEAKER_01

And who is in the slightest bit shocked by that?

SPEAKER_00

Like, come on. But also, okay, but it also employs a shit lun shit shitload of queens and stuff.

SPEAKER_01

Like I don't think Rue has been present for the last like four seasons. I think as soon as AI technology became available, that has been AI Roo.

SPEAKER_00

They've been making that claim since Cook. Prove me wrong.

SPEAKER_01

Was she ever there? Oh, when everyone was like, did she come to New Zealand? That was so good. That was amazing.

SPEAKER_00

Loved that. She was never there. She was never there. Never there. Tinfoil hats. She's never been to New Zealand.

SPEAKER_01

No, not once. Even in the 90s. We firmly believe that on this pod. And if you um disagree with that, please write in. If you have plane tickets from the Ripple Empire. Receipts. I need receipts at this point. Exactly. Yeah, look, it's it's going on. The third bracket has got the probably the worst cast, I reckon. Normally they save the best to last because you're so you're like, woo, but it's like I'm like Kennedy Davenport, love you, sis, but again.

SPEAKER_00

I just thought Kennedy had had her absolute where they go, you are an icon. Yeah. Like you've hit icon status. I don't really understand. Like come back for a movie and things like that, though. That kind of stuff. Oh, totally. Because you're an icon. Yeah. This is what I don't understand when people have the redemption arc, when people are hit the icon and then like, you know what? I want to do it again. What? To question whether you are an icon? Like, it's like you're really actually going into some weird territory, aren't you? You know? Of just like, you you might actually not ruin your legacy, but you could.

SPEAKER_01

You could it's happened. Milk. Uh yeah, like coming back and and fucking up. And then it's like Sam Starr is there, who I'm like, great, but we just saw you.

SPEAKER_00

Oh my god. No, no, yeah. Give us five minutes.

SPEAKER_01

When did you even make these books?

SPEAKER_00

And you've you've you've changed so much in like eight months or whatever. Yeah. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

So anyway. Anyway, I'll still be, you know, for my sins, touching down on All Stars, but yeah. I can't wait for the movie. I can't wait. And I I spent all yesterday Googling like where the fuck can I watch this film in this continent?

SPEAKER_00

It just literally comes back like it goes like Sydney screening sort of. So was there one in Sydney? I there might have been a Sydney. I thought there was a one screening at Palace. Like it's like I believe that a two-week run would do very well. You know, if you did a limited run at a and just like just went Australia, these screens the case would come out. The girls would come out.

SPEAKER_01

We've upset her that much from down under Drag Race. To the point where she refuses to even release.

SPEAKER_00

She's the one who's all like Sydney's one of my favourite cities in the world.

SPEAKER_01

They all say that. I know, they really do. I know. Sydney's our little. She's married to an Arsie. But it's like, bitch, do you want my money or not? Because I would I would have been at the fucking first screening. I know. How fun. We would have gotten all the girls together. Totally. We would have done some pre's. It would have been themed cocktails. It'd be fun. But no, I guess we'll just wait till it's out on Wow Presents Plus, because you know that's where it's gonna come out on. Well, yeah. Don't you think? Or do you think she's waiting for like all the streaming services to like fight over it? It could come out on stan.

SPEAKER_00

Like it could, it could, you know. There's a chance.

SPEAKER_01

I could see it being like a limited leaks in America. Yeah. But maybe a stan here. Yeah. Who the fuck knows? I'm really looking forward to seeing it. It's getting good reviews. It is getting crazy good reviews.

SPEAKER_00

Like I got a five-star review in The Guardian, and I was like, okay, girl. Like, like, I'm excited. Like, I I I do want to see what they do because, you know, Camp with all that talent, you know, hopefully they spent longer than some of the challenges, the acting challenges on Jag Race. And I assume they did. I mean, Shankman is an actual real director. We gotta remember he's an actual Oh, sorry, what's his name? What? My good friend. I love how he's just like, I don't fucking care. He comes on and just goes, whatever.

SPEAKER_01

She did that on purpose. Yeah. Alright, let's get into the episode three and four of Stance Hit Original Series. Is it a hit? I think so. In my world, it is. Everyone loves it. Turned on Dirty Sexy Money. How are you finding this show so far?

SPEAKER_00

I'm finding it really fascinating. I think that they've used the budget really appropriately and well. You know, like they it doesn't look cheap. Where they have cheaped out are the moments that you expect in in reality TV that they will cheap out, like baby showers where there's like no attendees.

SPEAKER_01

Where just the word baby is floating in the body. Where baby's floating.

SPEAKER_00

Like I'm fine with that because you haven't like skimped in other areas. As I've said on this show, like a reality show doesn't actually have to have a huge budget to be good.

SPEAKER_01

In fact, some of the best ones. It's like camcorders. Oh, actually, little plug quickly for the Patreon. Um me and Shane Nicholas are currently recapping Pop Stars Australia season one. That was a place of camcorders. Oh, yeah. In convention centre. Oh my god. Oh my god. Like business like conference rooms. Wow. It's great. So yeah, if you want to hear us talk about that, go over to Apple Subscriptions or Patreon and subscribe. But yeah, you don't need a big budget for a show to be good.

SPEAKER_00

It you really don't. And so, but it looks really great because I mean these girls are gonna want to look great on this show as well. There's no point in them doing it. I think that they have taken the nuggets of of whatever conflict they are and turned them appropriately to into some really great drama. And I think the producers have done a good job of balancing along with all the flipping-flopping of like, you know, opinions and like and then the moralizing. Yeah, it's so interesting.

SPEAKER_01

We'll go into the moral debate. And you text me the other week being like, um, it's a perfect balance of scripted versus non-scripted, and I agree, it's like the bits where you're like, oh, okay, I see what we're doing here, aren't annoying. They're not annoying. It's like Bravo levels of like, oh yeah, like you've you've put them in this pressure cooker situation for some bits, but yeah, I'm not mad about it.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, and I I do think that uh a lot of the secure insecurities and the drama come from a real place.

SPEAKER_01

Oh yes, particularly with our girl Mia.

SPEAKER_00

Oh wow. So and and I and we it she's really been uh fleshed out in these last couple because at first I was just like Queen bitch, bring it on, but now I'm like, okay, there's something that this opens up a whole other dimension to this thing.

SPEAKER_01

Study issues, like all good um evil villains from reality TV study issues.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Blame the dad, I say. Yeah, she she has got like a Megan Gale kind of quality because.

SPEAKER_01

Megan Gale took the fucking substance. This bitch is so hot. I'm sorry, she is so hot it breaks my brain. Yeah. I'm having bisexual panic every time I watch this show. She is so hot.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, she is and just so dumb, but also, I don't know, like made for television. Made for television. Uh yeah, just she wants what she wants. But I I mean there's something about it. I found it, you know, more endearing in this last episode. Uh, not that I have to love her, you know, but I I I I I can see that it it is a complicated world that you're you're stepping in.

SPEAKER_01

And there's And she's new, she's probably the newest to the world as well. Some of the others had done stripping or sex work or whatever before and then transitioned into content land. Um, some of them are still doing all that stuff as well, whatever. Yeah, and she's makes it very clear, oh no, I I blew up by accident. Yeah, I'm iconic by mistake. Yeah. And this, you know, one video of my butt blew up, and I had no choice but to monetize. And so that I say, go off diva. Yeah. But also, you're not better than these other queens that worked hard.

SPEAKER_00

It's an evolving space, and obviously that's happening under their feet. Like, and that's what's sort of that's where there's this drama and this conflict really.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, no wonder they fucking hate her. If you've been trying to like harness your craft and then this bitch destructs up and goes, Oh, whoops. Yeah, did my butt just do that overnight? Like, I'd fucking hate her too. Yeah, yeah. I've been working the pole for years, doll. I'd be mad.

SPEAKER_00

I I can understand. I can understand. And she is like takes it to another level, which is a supermodel sort of category.

SPEAKER_01

All right, let's start episode three. Through. Um, it's not a show in the GC without a trip to fucking Dreamworld. Oh my god, we start with Haley and Ruby going on a little making content. Well, this is the thing. I love you. I was like, oh, it's the day off. No, no. No, no. They're like, we're here to film some roller coaster content. And I died.

SPEAKER_00

And once again, we're reminded that Haley is on the bottom of the Don't you think with Haley, honestly, I just think she wants a man to take her away from all of this mess. Don't her sister. She's like, someone save me from my box. She just wants to, she just wants plea, she just seems like someone who just wants an actual peaceful life. I could imagine in five years' time her not having peroxided hair, living on a farm. Like she just seems like she just it's she's just like, I guess I'm just doing this now.

SPEAKER_01

Do you know what context made it all make sense for me this week? Was when we learned that she's 28. I was like, ah, and like no shade, I thought she was a bit older than that. Yeah, yeah. I think it's when people when you have a bit of work done, I just it's hard to tell. I'm like, I don't know. Yeah. So I was like, oh, you're younger than I thought. No wonder you're a bit like, you know, I'm looking for a man, all that kind of shit. I thought she was kind of past that.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, no, she, yeah, she's definitely uh I I like I quite like her. Like I quite like her as she's a great narrator for the show.

SPEAKER_01

She's the perfect, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, and I think she's and because she has that very personal relationship with Quinn, um, who is somewhat terrible.

SPEAKER_01

Poor landlord, sister, boss, uh, pimp. Like, come on, it's so unhealthy. You imagine walking into your shrink and being like, Yes, I'm having some issues with my sister. And then explaining that relationship, they would be like, Oh, uh maybe just a little bit of space space, you know. I don't want to suggest too much, but I'm a professional, but oh wow, yeah. So the roller coaster content, she's like, Maybe this will help um boost me up the rankings. I'm like, girl, it will not. You need to sit on some dick.

SPEAKER_00

I'm sorry, but like her content has been I mean, I know it's not fair because it's a show, but everyone else looked so great in all their filmed parts, and every time, like, she's she's got a lovely body. Oh, she's so hot, but your heart's not in her, and like she's like, I am gonna be a what was it, a pirate? That was awful, yeah. No, nah.

SPEAKER_01

They go on the slingshot. Um, then we get some stunt girl shame. Okay, so we learn about Annie Knight, her closeness with Bonnie Blue, very controversial. Also in the news at the moment for her baby shower. Did you hear about this? Slightly different type of baby shower than Quinn's. Wow. She had a golden shower baby shower where she invited her fans to come and she's pregnant.

SPEAKER_00

So she's like hitting two fetishes in one. I that is you know what?

SPEAKER_01

Honestly, I'm on the fence about that one because it is like her fucking body.

SPEAKER_00

It is, and it but it is interesting how it challenges your standards of what you accept. I I I I just kept thinking about a documentary that I saw 21 years ago called Annabelle Chong Sex, the Annabelle Chong story. So Annabelle Chong was uh a a porn actress who early on, like so this is like late 90s, early 2000s, she had sex with like 151 guys in like 10 hours or something like that.

SPEAKER_01

And here Lily Phillips go, 121.

SPEAKER_00

Um, is that all? So at that time, and and and she had this all access. Ooh. And I remember like it really changed how I felt about that because she just clearly was quite an intelligent woman who and and and it's just an in it's interesting. Yeah, it's just an interesting boundary. There's so many everyone's like values are challenged, including the people who are doing OnlyFans. They're they're like, these are my boundaries, and these and and I found this so fascinating because I'm like, what?

SPEAKER_01

It's endlessly fascinating to me about yeah, where is your line? It's it's like everyone's gotta have a line. I might do that. Where that's the thing it's like, yeah, do they? And like, and it's it's like people are just constantly, yeah. Look, and it's why this show has been made because that that is a really compelling discussion, I think, particularly at the moment. And yeah, I look forward to discussing it more each week on the pod. Because I yeah, I don't honestly, there's parts of it I don't know how I feel about. Um but I do just as a general rule try to not be judgmental about people that are just trying to legitimately earn a living in this fucked capitalist system we live in. Um, and yeah, and I just particularly women just have enough shame in their bodies left, right, and centre, anyway. Why do we need to like add more fuel to that fire? Is kind of my baseline position.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. But the position that they take in the show is that the stunt queens have changed it forever for OnlyFans.

SPEAKER_01

And then the debate is what is their motivation? Is it to shock and horror people into getting more attention and therefore making more money? Or andor, because I believe it's an end, are they genuinely into doing that? And I I properly think it's both. I think they I think they know obviously if it didn't work out, if it wasn't popular, they'd stop doing it. But it works. People are talking about it upsetting people is talking about it. The people that I think that are getting upset about it are fucking pearl clutches, to be honest. A lot of them. So I'm kind of like it's it's I'm kind of on their side, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And it's it's a it's a there's shifting standards. I think about the people very, very smart women that who are in my office and they're in their mid-50s to early 60s. This is not what they consider empowering. And I hear their arguments, and I I I I go, yeah, I understand that, but then I think of it from another way, and it feels more secure and safe for women. Uh, and and honestly, yeah, like so some kinks are allowed, but some kinks are not allowed.

SPEAKER_01

That's the other thing. It's even within my community, yeah, we you know, we're doing all kinds of filthy shit, but you do come across, yeah, just casual, like casually people will drop where their line is. Absolutely. Yeah, um, which I find interesting because sometimes you're like, didn't ask. And you do get asked on like gay dating apps and and hookup apps and stuff, you get asked a lot, like, what are your kinks? What are you into? And I feel like it is a bit of a trap sometimes. Like people want you to expose your hand, yeah, you know, without giving too much away. Because people are so terrified of feeling shame, feeling rejected. Um and that's this fucking structure that we've built as a society. Yeah. Um, if people just felt comfortable enough to walk down the street and you know, talk about all the things they get up to, which is the beauty of things like Folsom Festival, sure. Um, which is the whole point of it is to bring kink and and sexual liberation to the streets. Yeah. Um incredible. We need more shit like that. And even like I've met people recently who were like, oh, you know, I love you know the the LGBTQ ⁇ community, but things like Folsom, that's a bit much. Why do we need to see that? I'm like, we do. It's not and it's not even just I think that kind of kink pride is far goes far beyond um the queer community. I think that has implications for everyone.

SPEAKER_00

I mean, taking it out of the shadows, I think that's just it is very important because it it becomes dangerous for people, you know.

SPEAKER_01

It fucking does if you start to tell people they're not allowed to have adventurous sexual needs, obviously, you know, consensually and all that. But again, it's like there's fuck there's way too much grey area in this discussion. Yeah, and that's why when the girlies are like don't like those stunt girls, it's like interesting. What where let's unpack that? Where's that come from?

SPEAKER_00

It's very strange because like you know, in that first episode, yeah, you know, Mia is you know, you know, disgusted at Ruby because Ruby had sex with a sex worker while her boyfriend watched, which in my she was like uh gross, uh cuck. And I'm like, that sounds hot to me for starters.

SPEAKER_01

So that sounds hot.

SPEAKER_00

Secondly, like he's literally watching, he's the most secure man in the whole show. 100 and I and therefore the most attractive to me, in my opinion. Yeah, and therefore not in the show very much. He wasn't in it this week, and I was like, I want Jacob. Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

He's so hard.

SPEAKER_00

But like, but it was so interesting that that was her level, and that was that was her, and I was like, why is that gross to you?

SPEAKER_01

I I think she just doesn't like Ruby, and that was anyway. Yeah, we really need to get back into this episode. There's so much to talk about. Too much, too much. They bring up though the barely legal thing. So this again, another line. Sure. Oh, but Bonnie Blue and these stunt girlies, they prey on these like young men. Firstly, these men are consenting adults, don't get it fucking twisted. These women are not having sex with underage men. No, so shut the fuck up about that. Secondly, uh, can I remind you all about a little guy called Robert Irwin that the day he turned 18, he got his kid off for bonds, and we all salivated over it. I don't know. Yeah, I think the double standards here are insane.

SPEAKER_00

It is very telling of a more of a uh hetero kind of like I think like perspective on that for sure, you know, because like I guess like the exploitation of children has become so has become so into the forefront, you know, the stuff that we just didn't notice or didn't we our standards have shifted with that for sure. But it's like who do you think is watching your content? You know, they're fucking some some 18-year-olds or 19-year-olds. It's the guy who do you think's watching your content?

SPEAKER_01

And they refer to us out, they're like, we just have our fans in the videos. I'm like, and they are these like 18, 19-year-old boys. Yeah, I don't do not see the problem with that at all. I think it's full like Christian right-wing propaganda to be like barely legal and have a problem with that. I'm just like, what are you even talking? Like, yeah, what? Yeah, that's it's a weird bar. Um they're just throwing everything out there. Yeah, yeah, literally just throwing everything at it to try and distance themselves. I think I think it's internalized misogyny, internalized shame around it. Like, and last week I was all about Chloe. This week I've got to say, Chloe, you let me down a bit. Because she's kind of leading the charge on this. Yep, that she's taken that that that angle of it. And she won't listen, she's not even open to hearing them out. Yeah, she's made up her mind. Yeah, she's like, it's gross, it's wrong. But she's also kind of like, I think she's using it as a way to distance what she does from what they do. Yes. Uh, I don't know. Like peop people are smart, they they're gonna make up their own minds about who you are. I I wouldn't be worried about being lumped in with all these, you know what I mean? Like, yeah. It's very interesting. It's been really interesting. It's your uh Annie and Quinn meet up to settle their beef. Oh my god. Annie's like, I don't have fucking time for this. Yeah, I'm busy. And Quinn's like, why are you talking shit about me? Quinn reveals her source is Mia, and Annie rejects it. She goes, No way.

SPEAKER_00

They are such solid friends, didn't you?

SPEAKER_01

Here so solid, so solid. Nothing's gonna go wrong there at all. Uh anyway, Annie gets up, all the best with your pregnancy. Goodbye. She does a walk out. Love this scene. That was a great reality TV scene.

SPEAKER_00

Annie's really good at the little bits. She she knows how to just deliver a little quip and a little line, and they're just using Quinn's pregnancy and whatever hormones are like flushing through her to just like get some pretty awesome TV as well.

SPEAKER_01

So good. Mia gets the tea from Annie. Uh, of course, Mia denies it. She's like, oh, last week on the Pod Laurel, I was talking about how Mia doesn't open her mouth fully when she speaks. And I was like, really?

SPEAKER_00

And this week it's all I could say. I know. As soon as she was like, oh, she sounds like a football player or was a football player or something. I was like, oh, that makes sense. Yeah. Of course. One of the boys. She goes, Yeah, Kushna. I would never do that. Yeah. It's sort of like it's very Queensland, isn't it, to sort of not open your mouth when you speak. Sorry, Queensland. Apologies.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, so she denies it. Uh, we meet Lily again. They kind of introduce Lily like she's this new character this week. I'm like, she's been in the show, guys. Yeah, didn't we meet her? Yeah. Uh they FaceTime her, our no-loads refused Queen. They want to have a Welcome to Australia party for her. Um fabulous. So Haley breaks the news to Quinn that she is looking for um an alternate place to live.

SPEAKER_00

Oh my god, this poor girl.

SPEAKER_01

Quinn does not take this well.

SPEAKER_00

Terribly. She's just like, what do you mean? I thought you were gonna be my slave.

SPEAKER_01

She literally talks to her like she's a low-level employee. She's like, we're not discussing this further. Um, you will stay here. You're you will be my slave. She's not been approved. Fucking God. I was like, oh god, just let the fucking girl go. It's really awkward. Sometimes I'm like, Quinn, do you realize there's a camera there?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Or does she too much? I don't know.

SPEAKER_00

I I I don't and it's like I can't tell if she's the type of uptight diva Karen that like, yeah, she's just like, no, I'm absolutely right. You know, where you know they're just like so emboldened. Yeah. Or whether she's just good at this. I can't tell. I can't tell. Which is great.

SPEAKER_01

I actually can't read, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I can't I don't know. I don't get her in some ways.

SPEAKER_01

Masked. Yeah. Uh the twins do some spontaneous shopping tickets, some libertines. Fuck their basic.

SPEAKER_00

Oh my god. They're so dull.

SPEAKER_01

Like they're barely on the show this week. Yeah, yeah. And I was like, correct they're editors, I was like, correct.

SPEAKER_00

Well, you see them later, they're not able to contribute. They're just too like uh caught by my tongue. It's like, yeah, I just love I I I I really hope they get some surgery during the show. You know how the they went for the consultation.

SPEAKER_01

I just was like, remember like 20 years ago when the girlies were losing it over the Lou Batons? I know. I'm like, they're like acting like that right now.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I know. That kind of like that's I know. Yeah. Twins, identical twins do uh freak me out. I I have to do you have any friends who are identical twins? Yeah, you do? Identical they've all got identical issues about it. Yeah, yeah, I know I know quite a few identical twins. Because I know non-identical twins, and I don't know if I'm just like there's a children of the corn situation going on here with, but it is so strange.

SPEAKER_01

Well, it's interesting that I'm sorry, but like it's interesting that they are on team uh Pearl Clutch, because I'm like, if anything, your fetish or taboo that you're leaning into is probably the most like oh my god questionable.

SPEAKER_00

Absolutely, it's so interesting, again, a shifting standard. Like you'd watch 80s like frat films and it'd be like, oh, I got to go with two twins, you know, kind of thing. And you know, like it was only like later when you're older, you're like, that's gross.

SPEAKER_01

But you know, if it's like known to be a lot of men's like fantasy, I think we let it slide. Well, absolutely. Does not mean it's okay, like I'm sorry, it's like literally just kind of promoting incest or promoting the idea of it for clicks, but that's not rage bait, but then fucking a higher number of men than other people do with somehow. I just are we in the same world?

SPEAKER_00

And the way they've explained it, the way they were we do it front to camera, not to like not this way, not to get this way. So sorry, like if you're mutually masturbating next to your sister, you're mutually masturbating next to your sister. Yeah. Right? Which I assume is what happens.

SPEAKER_01

We could then make sure, like, if you guys are consenting to do that and want to make sure, like, go off, but I just probably wouldn't be throwing stones, you know? Like it's great. Mia rocks up to surprise them. Oh my god. This was awkward as fuck. But when these three are scene together, it's like, oh my god. I know it's about to explode. Um, they're only pressed she's on her apology tour. Yeah. Mia, because she's up and left the twins for her new besties. Yes. Who have more followers. She's learned a lot, but as she kept saying. Yeah. I love that the twins are like upset. They're like, we thought we were besties. We even hung out with Darius. We even tolerated Darius. We even fucking let that fucking dude hang around there. So good. And then you ghosted and she apologizes. She's like, we even bought you Louie. And she's like, I bought you Louie?

SPEAKER_00

And there's like two of them.

SPEAKER_01

There's two of them. So like I do the math.

SPEAKER_00

I didn't become a barrister, but you do the math. You do the fucking math.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, Mia tells the twins that she hates stunt content, which will become an important nugget later on. And the twins are like, yeah, we hate it. Two, it's just clout chasing, blah, blah, blah. Uh, and then it's also an opportunity for Mia to invite the twins to Lily's welcome party, just as they've slut-shamed Lily.

SPEAKER_00

We hate what they do. Would you like to come to their party? Okay. Will the cameras be there? Sure.

SPEAKER_01

So good. So, so good. Uh so this is when we learn about Mia's dad. He pretty much cut her off after he found out what she does and destroy the relationship. Uh, yeah, and what like she reads out like a text or whatever, and I'm like, this broke my heart a bit.

SPEAKER_00

It is it's the I feel like it's a reality that they all have to navigate. Like, and it again, coming back to Annabelle Chung documentary, it it was all access, so there's footage of her kind of telling her Singaporean mother this whole thing. And it's I gotta get this. It is devastating, it is devastating. Yeah, wow. And um, and so I it really humanized her because it just like you know, of course, you're you're you're stressing out and devastating your parents, like you just are. Like, I I can't think of a parent who probably wouldn't be really. Yeah, but also fuck this family.

SPEAKER_01

I just feel like there's a way you can express your concerns and stuff without like fully just going straight to shame and disownment. Yeah, it's like it yeah, it break my heart. It reminded me a lot of stories of friends of mine of coming out and having their family just be like, Totally some money, I never want to see you again. And especially don't have a child if you are not prepared to love it unconditionally. Fuck off.

SPEAKER_00

She's telling them, she's not doing it in the shadows, she's not trying to hide it, she's told them and said, Look, I'm this is what I do, you know, and uh as opposed to like just living a lie.

SPEAKER_01

See, I thought in the trailer for this series, I I must have got it wrong, but I thought she hadn't told them yet or something, and that was gonna be part of the drama of the show, but it was that she had and they weren't into it.

SPEAKER_00

No, it's the key is that there's a TV show being made. That's right, and that takes it out of the shadows and into the mainstream, and then it's their shame and the the fam the family, there's no hiding then. Yeah, you can't just be like, oh, she's just been doing modelling, or you know, like it's game on for your your family and their friends and their network. They're like, this show is gonna really hurt us, blah blah blah blah, which is I think almost anyone who does a reality TV show almost goes through in some ways, you know, not not to the certain extent. You know, some of them are fun, some of them are competition. But those ones that really expose you true, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

It happens a lot on Bravo shows where like someone will like someone's partner or family or whatever will be on the show one season, get a really bad edit or whatever, cop some hate from the fandom, which I don't condone. No, and then they'll just not come back on. Right. And it's like, and then it's just kind of in the world of the show, is like, oh, you know, my partner was on the first season, didn't have a good time, they're not on the show anymore. But they're still together, we just don't get to see. And it's yeah, it's tough. Who knows? Maybe I mean the producers will clearly want a scene with the family. Whether or not they're gonna get it, we'll find out. But that's clearly what they'll be pushing for now. Yeah. That would be I it doesn't sound like they're going to be. I don't think they're gonna get it, but that would be amazing. Yeah. Um alright, so it's a cowboy themed Welcome to Australia party.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, no, no, makes no sense. I loved this.

SPEAKER_01

I want to go to the I want to go to this bar and drink cocksucking cowboys and go on the ball with that hot shirtless guy.

SPEAKER_00

But do you eat grass?

SPEAKER_01

Do you like Do Australian boys eat car paw? But car pay. I love this bitch so much. I'm sorry. She walks into the party, she's like, so I've been in Australia for like a week. Nobody wants to eat MacarPow. Heaven.

SPEAKER_00

So good. I I do think she's like, look, I like to fuck. And you know, sure enough, she doesn't stop talking about it to the point where the only girl only fans girls are prudish around her. It's probably kind of wild. She's my absolute fucking queen.

SPEAKER_01

Um Mia has no backbone. She's like, yeah, the twins said that they hate all the slut content. And I'm like, bitch, so do you. You said that to the twins. I love it.

SPEAKER_00

The way she's trying to play both sides are like she's just like, oh, whoever I'm with, I will just like mimic whatever they think. It's like, okay. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Then we get this guy. So I love as well, because this show, pretty much today, there's not really been much male interference, but we get this guy.

SPEAKER_00

Oh my god.

SPEAKER_01

This fucking Gold Coast beefhead man that works at the bar. And the twins are like, I went one of the twins went on a date, and he gets up.

SPEAKER_00

He stood up twine. Twain.

SPEAKER_01

And Billy's like, fair game. Um haven't had my carpet eaten. This guy might eat it, you know. He's living for the cameras being there and just inserts himself into the show with no questions asked. No questions.

SPEAKER_00

He signed the release immediately as he walked in the bar. He just signed the release and and and he was ready to go. And also no remorse whatsoever. No sorry. No nothing. He's just like, what? What? It was amazing.

SPEAKER_01

He's picking up the landing with a hat in front of us, and he's just like, this was great. Brilliant. Lily rides the bull, of course, because she's fun. Uh and yeah, I'm sorry, the stunt girls are just more fun. And then they know who they are. I'm just like, yes, very staunch.

SPEAKER_00

That internalized misogyny, you're right. It absolutely just like runs through all our veins of generations of women. And I just think even with these OnlyFans curlies, they're just like, I don't like the way. Why are you slut shaming another slut? Slut, you know. I know. Like, what's going on?

SPEAKER_01

Yep. It's weird. Yeah. Fucking true. This episode ends with Chloe and Ruby at dinner. Um they want to warn Lily about Annie to Mia. Love this, but also, yeah, because this is like where it's getting it's like this is Med Lily. So Lily rocks up and they're like, we've got some we just want to warn you. We're just, you know, we just we're just doing a good deed. We don't love your slot work, but what we hate more than that is Mia and her fucking accidental arse shots. Yeah. Yeah. So good. Uh episode four. Annie tells us on a TikTok um that people yell at her in public. And to that I say, get a fucking life, people.

SPEAKER_00

Why I I just it's so weird. Such a weird thing. Like I I find it like, why would you do that? Like, you know?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Like, but that's the thing, isn't it? Like the there's a percentage of the population that like literally hate women, like that for sure. 100%.

SPEAKER_01

And then and they'd be looking for excuses to do things like this. Yes. It's like finally we're allowed to do it.

SPEAKER_00

It and it's just like, what? You know? Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, that made me mad. Yeah. And I'm really glad they put that in the show. I'm glad they put that in the show. I'm glad they put the Mia Family stuff on the show. It's really showing like how brave these fucking women are. And they're like, I'm still gonna do it. I'm yeah. Making so much money. I'm allowed to fucking do it. Yep. Um yeah. We see uh Lily and Annie's sex university videos. They talk about rage bait, but this and this is where the girls lose me. They claim that in no way, shape, or form are they rage baiting. And to that I say, come on, girls, like just be honest.

SPEAKER_00

I mean it's like I I don't know.

SPEAKER_01

And look, they don't make the rules. People are outraged by this stuff, but they know that.

SPEAKER_00

And they continue to be able to do that. Like ones that let alone like there's almost a similar level of rage, you know. So yeah, it's okay, that's really interesting.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Uh okay, so Haley and Quinn are chatting about the stunt girlies. Um, Haley brings up the carpet munching it all, and they're like, oh, just disgusting. I'm like, again, why are we jumping at opportunities?

SPEAKER_00

You guys sell sex, like I don't like you're selling sex, and then she's like, I like to get my pussy licked, and you they're like, what a bitch!

SPEAKER_01

It's kind of confusing. And to that guy, like, who cares? Oh god. I know. Um, back at the stunt girlies, Mia joins, uh, and Lily eats a big chip. I love Lily as well. She's literally a gay man. Like, every time there's an opportunity to make a dick joke, she will do it. She was like, Oh, that's a nice big one.

SPEAKER_00

It's her kink. I just feel like if you hand her a zucchini, she's gonna be like, oh. Yeah, she's one of those people. Like, you know, at the supermarket, you can't go. That's great. Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Love it. Mia is having a moment, the family stuff comes back up. Um, she talks about the text she got from her dad about the show. So they're doing the meta thing like um these Hulu shows are doing, where they talk about the show in the show.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, yep. Nice. I I think that the audience is so sophisticated. Also, you're talking about a medium within the show, you're talking about an app. Like it just sort of makes sense.

SPEAKER_01

Also, yeah, you're right. We if they tried to somehow manipulate it into being something else, we'd pick up on it. So it's good to know, yeah, it's good to know, and yeah, it's a good story, so why not cut it out? Don't and try and fuck with it. Yeah, Mia is straddling these two worlds, uh, and the stunt girlies are like none the wiser at this point. They sort of think she's on board with them, right? Oh, they just love her, they're having a great time. Or do they not care?

SPEAKER_00

I I I I think partly they don't give a fuck about any of these girls, maybe even including Mia. Like, you know what I mean? I just think they're like, whatever, like you know, and but I it's she is shameless, I have to say. It's pretty amazing.

SPEAKER_01

We need to talk about Annie's fiance, who we meet this week. Oh I've forgotten his name. I don't think I already cares. I've just written out Annie's fiancee because he's mates with Darius. And can I say this bloke is such a dropkick? It's unbelievable. I'm sorry, unbelievable. He's done very well to get with Annie.

SPEAKER_00

Well, outrageous like outrageous, punching. Like, she's just like, I'm gonna do whatever I want, and you're just gonna be fine with it. And he's like, I'm not that fine with it. When he said that, I like spat my drink out. I couldn't believe it.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, yeah, I know. When he's talking to Darek, he's like, Yeah, I really hate that she fucks other guys. I'm like, sorry?

SPEAKER_00

You are with the wrong person. You're the wrong person. Yeah, what are you doing here? Yeah, it's just really Sir Yeah, it's really good for these guys to be able to connect, but you know, they've got no one that they can talk to.

SPEAKER_01

But when he goes, Oh, everyone really wants me to be in scenes with her, I'm like, Sir, I mean, I need to see written proof of that. I would like to see how fucking asking for that.

SPEAKER_00

How fucking men. Like Darius, I can't understand him. Sure. Good-looking man. He's a good looking dummy, is we just bloke. I'm sorry. He I was surprised by him. That that and then the gambling addiction comes up, and I'm like, wow. There it is. There it is. She she uh she helps. Yeah, yeah. This guy is fantastic.

SPEAKER_01

Then we get a shot of Quinn pregnant, working out, and I was like, oh my god, I hate you. I know. She's just like on the rower. It's like just give it a back. She hasn't even had the baby yet, and she's already freaking about how long is it gonna take to get my body back?

SPEAKER_00

Her spreadsheet is in her head constantly. That tick, tick, tick, tick, tick. Because even she was saying, I don't feel that good about myself. I would have done pregnancy only fans because it's such a good thing. But I can't like and it's like, yeah, I'm glad that you didn't because you don't feel good about yourself. But it's like you were like, God, what a missed opportunity. Like, she's just like, God, I missed out on all that income. It's like, what are you RuPaul?

SPEAKER_01

Should have done the pregnancy stuff. Oh my god. Uh Quinn talks about the perception of the industry changing. Um, people are more accepting now than they used to be. And then this is the narrative that this team uh spinning is that people were finally getting on board with it, and then these fucking stunt girlies rocked up and ruined it for everyone. Which I don't at all agree with.

SPEAKER_00

I it's interesting because you know, it is in the zeitgeist in a sense that like there was the the book which I didn't read, which was Margot's Got Money Problems. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

But then I did watch I started watching the series, and can I say I don't know, I didn't I it didn't click with me.

SPEAKER_00

It's the David E. Kelly Hollywood effecation of it all for starters, but I also don't know if Margot's Got Money Problems is a very tame example or whether the the show is a tame example. I can't be sure.

SPEAKER_01

As soon as I heard Nicole Kidman was involved, I'm like, well, yeah, and look, it's there goes that show.

SPEAKER_00

It's entertaining enough, you know. But the the literal like so that but that comes from that standpoint of like she's making art, she's she's like an alien who's who's got who does like who shows her tits occasionally, and then she she the final episode is her kind of no spoiler alert, it's sort of like the money shot is her pussy, right?

SPEAKER_01

That's why I couldn't watch the show because you already know the plot before you go into watch it. And then I'm also watching simultaneously this show. This show, yeah. And then I'm like, that first it took me like three episodes for her to even get to the webcam, and I was like, It was crazy. I'm already a spiritual.

SPEAKER_00

And so I I can't work out if this is the you know, like it's like I'd never seen Fifty Shades of Grey. Uh that's another one where it's like I had no I'd never seen it because I had no interest in it.

SPEAKER_01

Everyone was so outraged, and then you watched it and you're like, over this?

SPEAKER_00

I was like, where's the stuff? Like where's the 500 guys below the stuff? And then I realised it was just a like for housewives for people who you know, whatever.

SPEAKER_01

But but we're not the target audience for any of this.

SPEAKER_00

So if they're saying that there's acceptance, it's of this level of it, of this like context of it, where it's like, oh, you know, it's like it's just a little bit of titillation, it's just a an artistic thing.

SPEAKER_01

It's just there's just nerds with like I think celebs are doing it now too, and then that's given it a lot of kind of yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Was it Denise Richards who did it?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, yeah, Denise's on there. The chicken friends are on there, Sydney Sweeney's got one. Oh, does she? Yeah, yeah. I mean, I don't know what they show these people. Yeah. Probably fucking nothing. Fucking nothing. Like the fact that they're doing it, I think is yeah. Anyway, Hayley, bless her, goes on this speed dating. And wow, these blokes that we made. Um look, in their defense, she's there. Everyone, there could have been 10 out of 10 gorgeous men, but they've just lovely. She'd find a problem. Like she's she doesn't actually want to be with someone, I don't think. Not not but then they gave her these blokes, and I was like, oh fuck, well, we're certainly not getting somewhere. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

At least look, at least she's trying for the show, but at least she's trying, yeah, you know.

SPEAKER_01

We meet uh this one geezer, then a storm chaser, oh my god, then a Virgo, and she's like, ah, disgusting, no, which I was like.

SPEAKER_00

Virgos get a bad rap. I'm always being told, oh, uh, you're so boring being a Virgo.

SPEAKER_01

You know, and as a Virgo, I'm very offended.

SPEAKER_00

Excuse you, I like to write my write list. How dare you?

SPEAKER_01

I feel very attacked. Oh, and then then she got annoyed that this guy correctly guessed her age. She was like, I would be impressed, not upset by it, but anyway.

SPEAKER_00

It's so funny as well. It's like, bitch, you're young, like it's fine. 28, great. You're 28. You're 21. It's like you've had a shitload of work on your face that ages you. Exactly. Sorry. Then of course, there's a fire twirler guy, and I was like, yeah. Oh, he's the worst. Yeah, getting him. That's right. I'd be like, next, I'd be like dinging the bell myself.

SPEAKER_01

So Chloe and Ruby are besties, they're planning a Mia takedown, we see in the group chat. They meet up for a mug. This show is a mug.

SPEAKER_00

Oh god.

SPEAKER_01

Lily joins and the skinny bitches and mugs flow, and then this is when they're like, so So listen. Listen.

SPEAKER_00

We just want to warn you.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

You know, it's like really because we care about you?

SPEAKER_01

I don't wait. For you to be used for clout.

SPEAKER_00

I mean, this clout would clout chasing clout. I'm like, fucking hell, bitches.

SPEAKER_01

Chloe's voice is amazing. Like last week when she was like, I think you should go. And then this week she's like, you know.

SPEAKER_00

Like she's just sort of. I love her. She's and she is like that sort of Gold Coast brat stole, like insect sized, you know, she's exactly that girl that we saw in Little Kim who who got uh dehydrated. Oh my god.

SPEAKER_01

She is that girl. Oh my god. Um, Lily's not, I love Lily so much. She's not buying it for a second. She's like, this is a fear-mongering. But yeah, I love it. Thanks for the skinny bitch, girls, but um I'm getting my carpa eat. Goodbye. Yeah, she's just like, I don't like this. She's not into it. Yeah. Mia and Lily make some cake sitting content.

SPEAKER_00

I was like, I'm sorry, RuPaul's drag race when.

SPEAKER_01

I couldn't believe they were giving this up for for free. I was like, wow, that's they just put that on the show.

SPEAKER_00

They did. Like it was. I can fully see why this is a common fetish. Something about it is I well, I learned about it in that mini challenge from RuPaul's Drag Race. And I was like, cake sitting, excuse me. And then I was like, oh, cake sitting, I see. Uh so you know, you know, they did really give it away the rest is her story.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, but then so Mia, this is the this is the duality of Mia. She's very happy to do it, but all during it, she's like giggling, making she's like, This is fucking weird. She like, how do you not know about this already? So the way she judges her like paying customers, I'm like, girl, come on. She's like, oh, people are fucking weird. It's fair.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I I guess we'll do this. I'll never it's like the spirit of openness.

SPEAKER_01

Or don't do it. Yeah. But don't do it and complain. Come on.

SPEAKER_00

It relates back to that first episode, that first taste of her. Where she's not very open sexually, I don't think, as opposed to Ruby, who was pretty confident in her sexuality and and in all that sort of stuff. Right. We need to go to Folsom.

SPEAKER_01

We need to take her to, you know, get Darius on a leash. Oh my god.

SPEAKER_00

No, Darius will be crying. He would I just don't I don't want you to feel bad and I don't want to pick up the pieces afterwards.

SPEAKER_01

So Mia denies the clout chasing allegations. She's like, we've not even made content together until today.

SPEAKER_00

I know.

SPEAKER_01

Like, oh my. We don't even know. They do a photo shoot with the whole cast. Again, this is where I'm like, production intervention, perfect. Because they all need to bring them together. How they're gonna do it. It's some brand thing, I don't know. Yeah, some hideous lingerie. I'm sorry.

SPEAKER_00

What was this? Yeah. I know. And they're all like on great bods, and it's like and they're also hot, but they still looked shit. I'm sorry. Yeah, it's like the Victoria's Secret of it all. Like, you know, it's uh it's kind of trash.

SPEAKER_01

Ruby's real. She rocks up in her ute. This car. I was like, that I kind of loved Ruby for that. Yeah. And then also, so they have like some um so first we have like a little body image moment with Ruby. Yeah, she's like lost all this weight, she's still not feeling great about it. Um, I feel she's very the the most authentic person on this show. A million times being very vulnerable sharing this stuff, and it's not at all a bit for the story. I this is very much her journey, and the fact that she's happy to talk about on the show, I think, is really awesome.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, and it would be terrifying if you know to do that when you're around these girls who are you know so slender and tall and all that sort of, but she is hot, Ruby is beautiful, and she's got this, yeah, this I I don't know, this face that I find so appealing, like like you want to be friends friendly. She's got girl next door vibe.

SPEAKER_01

I can totally see that why she's such a successful. So after the shoot, they have like a little kiki, and um they discuss the ambush, and Annie's like, oh why, what's happened here? Yeah, Annie doesn't know anything, she's just like, I'm playing dumb.

SPEAKER_02

Tell me everything.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, our actress. Chloe spills that Mia uh didn't want to be on the show if Annie and Lily were involved. Annie does not buy it. I buy that. Yep. Of course, they purposely pair Mia and Ruby together for the shoot just to like further ignite Ruby's body dysmorphia. Thanks for that team. I would not want to fucking stand next to Mia with my kid off. You joke again.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. But it's a humanizing moment. It's a really beautifully humanizing for both of them, you know. Twins nowhere to be seen this episode.

SPEAKER_01

Who cares? Not not sad about it. Then they go for lunch. Lily, someone brings up Lily's liposuction or something. He says, What happened? This was blinking, you miss it, but like.

SPEAKER_00

I was like, hey, what it didn't even seem like she'd said what she thought that, and I was like, What is happening?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, yeah, and then Lily's pissed. Yeah. We don't often Lily's normally very cool, calm collector, but she's like activated by discussion of her past surgery. Sure. Fair enough. Uh, especially if that was like not in the public domain.

SPEAKER_00

I like Mia's all like I had lipo here, blah blah blah. She she was so open in that that scene with Ruby, you know. But like, yeah, I guess you know, if you haven't said it on camera. But I don't think anyone said it. I think they sort of I thought that someone said like your abs or something, and then she just went, she just like had. I don't think anyone said you've had surgery on your abs or lipo. I I didn't hear that, not in the edit that we were presented. Tick drum.

SPEAKER_01

I think this was just tension anyway, and then it was gonna boom. Yeah. It's like Chloe v Lily, then like Haley v Mia, kind of like back and forth. This was this was a housewives tier uh scene. I loved this scene, it was incredible work. There's so much tension in this group, really, really good. Uh Haley addresses the stunt work, she's like you guys doing that gives us all a bad rap, basically. Yeah, and Lily's like, no, I'm she's she she's like, I'm not sure. I'm standing in my whole truth. I'm the hoe, I want to do this. Like thing. And Ruby is listening and starts to better understand the stunt girlies. And I was like, wow, this never happens on these shows.

SPEAKER_00

I think it completely is in line with her personality and the person that was presented of being like sexual, like freedom and liberation and non-judgment. And I think in that moment she was, it did seem like she was flipping, obviously, completely. But I think she went-I don't see it as a flip. I saw it as a flip-flip. I think it's just her going, Oh, that's actually what I really feel, you know.

SPEAKER_01

I saw it as, yeah, exactly. She sort of was like, Oh, do you know what? That's those are actually my values. You've put I haven't You put them into a context that I can understand. We've not met before, so I was judging you from a distance. Easy thing to do, and and everyone else has already been feeding me this stuff. Now that I've sat down with you, I've heard I've changed my mind about it, which I think's really cool. Yeah. This pisses off Chloe so much, she sees it as the ultimate betrayal. Totally. Uh and yeah, Haley tries to differentiate what they do. Um, and I Lily wins the episode for this. She says, I'm at my clitzen with you.

SPEAKER_00

Not the greatest drag queen I know has said clitzend before. And I it's so good. It has to go into the vernacular, like immediate I'm at my clitzend with it.

SPEAKER_01

My klitzend with you. And girl, same. I was like, get out of there. And then of course they run away. Chloe and Haley get up and clutch their pearls and walk off. And I was like, Of course, because you've got not you don't have a defense for this. Someone's literally just telling you that they're very happy doing what they're doing. You've you're the one with the problem. They don't care. I'm sorry, but you're not winning this.

SPEAKER_00

It'd be fine to sort of have boundaries to what you're comfortable doing if you didn't give a shit what other people did. You know what I mean? But it's just the fact that you're like, I'm I'm gonna do this. You're showing a pussy. Okay. Exactly.

SPEAKER_01

So like And you would expect a bit of you know judgment free zone for doing that. So extend it to them.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I just there's already enough judgment in the greater world. In Queensland, like do you know what I mean? Like there's a Bible belt there for fuck's sake.

SPEAKER_01

Are they putting this on for their brand for they know their families are watching or whatever? I don't know, like, or they really feel this way.

SPEAKER_00

I think everyone draws up a set of rules or or contexts or boundaries that allows them to do the things that they do in their life, you know? And I guess when people start this, there is that internalized shame, right, that you have to get over. Yeah. I mean, I I you know, it's they they're really putting themselves out there, and then so I I I I guess that that there's just people just go, I've got boundaries, you know. And so their boundaries are being challenged. And often when people's boundaries are challenged, when you're when you know someone presents something to you that's more out there, like maybe a few years ago, and someone would say, I'd like to be called they them, that that kind of thing. Yeah, yeah. And then people would be like, Oh, and then they think about it for a second and go, actually, what do I care? Yeah, you know, it's like that kind of thing.

SPEAKER_01

How does this actually yeah?

SPEAKER_00

And I think it's like it's that deeper thinking. This is what allowed you to do this in the first place by having those that contextual rule.

SPEAKER_01

It's fun to try and have some empathy for the pearl clutches. Yeah, I imagine it's because they have received hate or something, you know, they've res they've they've copped it on behalf of these girls.

SPEAKER_00

Any woman who puts themselves out there in the the public eye receives hate, like full hate. Exactly. So yeah.

SPEAKER_01

But that's gonna happen. I don't think that's happening because of no. Like the like Lily and Annie aren't purposely bringing that on to you. But I can see that, yeah, from Chloe's perspective, perhaps she doesn't want to be likened to them because of that. I I I'm just trying to think. But the way they're being so stubborn about it annoys me. Ruby at least wants to have a conversation, and then after that, Ruby and Mia have this really nice moment, which we love to see. Yes, don't know how long it's gonna last, but for now. Yeah. And look, let's be real, Mia's deck of cards is about to topple because she's playing in the middle and she needs a friend.

SPEAKER_00

She does need a friend. And and you know, I I really did appreciate Mia being so kind to Ruby in that scene with the lingerie. Yeah, because she did look hot. She was like, You look hot. You know, and I just it's just nice. You need to be nice to fellow performers. Pick each other up, girl. Fucking hell. I mean, we're we're women, like no one else is doing it except for some random gays occasionally. Do you know what I mean? Like, like we don't, you know, we're we're really bad at supporting each other, and it's not a in a part of culture too at all. Amen. Yeah, so it's oh, this show has it's just it's good.

SPEAKER_01

I'm still confused about the release schedule. So is it twice a week? Is it a little bit? I'm so confused.

SPEAKER_00

I was like, they're like you know that weekend it's like, oh, there's another episode starting now.

SPEAKER_01

I was you better believe I was pissed when I saw that after looking into the phone. A surprise double episode. Like, how dare you're mad. So Stan, please let me know if you're gonna fucking just get it.

SPEAKER_00

They won't let you know.

SPEAKER_01

They will not. You know, from first hand experience.

SPEAKER_00

Surprise is on tomorrow.

SPEAKER_01

Tomorrow while you're at it, could you let us know when Down Under versus the World is fucking dropping? Thank you.

SPEAKER_00

I They announced that that show was happening a year ago. I swear to you, if that happens in December, I'm gonna be so if it's December again. Oh How dare they?

SPEAKER_01

Nah, it can't be. Well, well, I mean, it's definitely in the second half of the year, because we're we're in June, baby. Yeah. Anyway, I will talk to you soon, my love. Thank you so much for joining me this week. I loved talking about this show. Later. Talk to you later. Bye.
