SPEAKER_03

This podcast was produced on the land of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation. Welcome to Australia.

SPEAKER_00

Someone who is such a connoisseur of reality television. The content is hideous. So sorry about this. Oh my god.

SPEAKER_03

Mamalicious is back. Carolyn Cortis. Welcome back to the cringes of Real. How are you?

SPEAKER_01

I'm so good, babe.

SPEAKER_03

How are you? I'm okay. Um, be honest, how did you pull up after the live reunion?

SPEAKER_01

Uh, I'll be honest to you and everybody else. I am still recovering. Um, I actually pulled up okay the next day, didn't get to bed till 5:30.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, wow.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, it was a biggin. And then just had a pretty chill day that day, early night, and um just felt jet lagged all day, not so hung much hung over, just lack of sleep. But and then woke up on Monday morning feeling horrendous. And uh, I think you and I uh had a little struggle this morning, but we're both here and our faces are on.

SPEAKER_03

We're both battling colds, but we're just gonna, you know, we're gonna push through, much like Jackson on the pegs, we're gonna push through.

SPEAKER_01

Um yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Um, we need to talk about the live reunion. Incredible, you all looked amazing. I was kind of like, um, why was I not asked to come and host like a fashions on the field type red carpet? Channel 10. Hello.

SPEAKER_01

Everyone went to so much effort. It was actually beautiful. Like I just felt I was like I was hanging out with my closest family. Honestly, we just it was like a a like a cousin reunion or something. It was so good.

SPEAKER_03

Everyone the location? Are you kidding me? I was fully I was expecting like a soundstage in like, I don't know, suburban Sydney with like some fake plants, you know, and then cut to the Sydney Harbour as the backdrop, like well done.

SPEAKER_01

And the opera house as the back backdrop. And what was crazy is where we so we were sitting, you you saw the survivor sign, we were sitting just behind that, and so we were in front of the so all the fans, there were probably 10 rows of us behind me, and then they were just it was just full of fans. But the outlook for everybody looking out over the Sydney Harbour, the opera house, and then a million ferries going back and forth, going back and forth. And in actual fact, when um David Janae went to announce the winner, a ferry went.

SPEAKER_03

It was like spoiler alert issued for these ferries. Like, imagine you're just on your way home from work and it's like, oh well, now I know who wins. Because it was on Saturday night or Sunday night. Friday night. Or Friday night. Oh, so plenty of time still. Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

It started at five. Yeah, just after five, went through till nine. It was I can't tell you how epic it was. And I mean, I'm a person that has like I I try and I don't have any expectations. I just thought, oh, it'll it'll be what it'll be. We had been told that it was actually standing room, and we were all aghast because how are we gonna stand for four hours, no food, da-da-da-da-da. Anyway, they had seating fire.

SPEAKER_03

It would have been drinks though.

SPEAKER_01

There was water. What? Yeah, yeah. Yeah, that was okay. Uh we we did a lot of catching up afterwards, so yeah, yeah. It was all good, and everybody needed to be on their best behavior, so yeah, probably for the best.

SPEAKER_03

Sorry, amazing.

SPEAKER_01

It was so amazing, it was like one of the best nights of my life. It was so good.

SPEAKER_03

Because you didn't get a live reunion on your season. They haven't had it since sort of pre-COVID, I believe.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, six years, I think it is.

SPEAKER_03

So good to have it back. Um, I'm into it. Like, we'll obviously get into it more in more detail, but just at the top, the uh Dave Janay getting on a fucking motorbike and like full middle finger up to Jeff Prop's.

SPEAKER_01

Um it was outstanding, wasn't it? And we were all saying, is he gonna turn up on a jet ski? Is it gonna turn up on a fucking ferry? Is it gonna what's he gonna turn up on? Like he has to do, like he has to better Jeff Probst, doesn't he? And so when we all saw that last night, we didn't see him turn up like that, obviously. Um, but the way they filmed that iconic Jeff's kiss.

SPEAKER_03

It felt like I was back in the heyday of US Survivor. That salute to the Statue of Liberty on the jet ski moment, like incredible.

SPEAKER_01

Well, incredible, incredible, and um yeah, I um I applaud Channel 10 and Survivor really knocking it out of the ballpark because they really obviously deeply thought about this. I mean, taking the piss, doing a piss take on US Survivor 2, so good, so good.

SPEAKER_03

They they listen to us, they know what we want. They brought back reunion, they brought back camp. Like I think I think they had to work a little bit extra hard this season because you know, change of host. So I think they gave us a few little things like this to kind of keep us.

SPEAKER_01

But they really elevated it. And I if what like if they hadn't done this, it was still elevated. I think what they had what they'd done was absolutely outstanding. But by doing that, it just took it to neck level, like it was so good, it was so good. We were so like watching, I'm sure what us all Australia watching it last night and the world watching it last night were just like, yeah, bro, we're back. Like this so good.

SPEAKER_03

Um, before we get into this week's episodes in detail, are you watching 50?

SPEAKER_01

I'm watching 50, baby.

SPEAKER_03

And what do you think?

SPEAKER_01

Am I fucking ever? Yeah. What are my thoughts? Well, I thought my thoughts are the first couple of episodes were absolutely epic, iconic, loved, couldn't tear my eyes away, thought, yeah, baby, we're back. And then uh since Zach Brown, it's just gone downhill. Um, and obviously since Angelina left and and us, like I think we were already, we already knew that the edit was very um, what shall we say, patriarchal, very heavily male dominated. Um, it was really, it's really fucked up actually, because those female players that are out there are outstanding, and how we're not seeing more of them. I I honestly vomit when I see coach on my screen. And I know I'm one of the work. It's well, I'm I've not been a coach lover anyway. I I did a uh re-watch of South Pacific last year before even the the cast was announced. And so just watching the interaction between Ozzy and Coach, I'm just like, if if he makes it to the end, he he better be a zero vote, like he better get zero votes. You know, you know, do you know what I mean? Like, I'm just yeah, he he's just an awful person. Yeah, and such a hypocrite. I think Tiff nailed it. I think the hypocrite is the most, yeah. Anyway, enough of that. I'm loving um um sad about last week, obviously, but I think now that the winners are all gone, let's see how this all plays out. And I just want them to play hard. I just want to see old school survivor back. I just want to see some I don't know, some proper, real old survivor strategy, gameplay, fuck ups just happen. Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

I want to see Surrey torch the place to the ground, but torch, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

And in fact, if somebody torched the shelter, that would be awesome.

SPEAKER_03

Through the rice and then Jeff would be there going, This has never happened before. Bullshit the the torching ceremony, and we're like, Oh, it's he's driving me nuts, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Excuse me, sorry.

SPEAKER_03

No, you're fine. All right, well, let's um hop into our final week of redemption. Um, but before we do, quick reminder subscribe on Patreon if you want to hear extra episodes. At the moment, we're doing a below deck down under every week. Um join me over there if you haven't already. Um and yeah, let's do it. Let's do it. Episode 22 was called Build a Raft. And boy did our boy Build a Raft. But we start with uh Kaylee, Keely's boot, which I'm not gonna lie, this was a big turning point for me. I was I did have a little tantrum on the couch. I was like, well, that's the show done for me. That's survivor caput. Yeah, because my girl was gone. Were you pretty upset when Keely left?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Yeah, I mean yeah, she was the best, she and Mark were the best players out there.

SPEAKER_03

Best gameplay of the season for sure. And also just like a cool cat cool character that we haven't really seen thus represented before on the show. Yep, yeah, yeah. Cool new archetype, really likable, yeah, funny lines, great gameplay, 10 out of 10.

SPEAKER_01

Funny, 10 out a 12 out of 10.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, exactly.

SPEAKER_01

Smart, funny. Um, and I don't think you can get a better combination than those two in any kind of person. She's the type of person like I'd really, really like to get to know in real life. Um, she's she was outstanding out there. Nothing seemed to kind of faze her. Like, you know, when Mark voted off Faith and when Mark did different things, like she just laughed at all, created a new alliance name, called this themselves the the hair and faith the sister wives. Honestly, it was hilarious. Yeah, it's a really good take on taking the piss out of him in a really clever way.

SPEAKER_03

Mark managed to snag a lot of airtime this week, which we will get to. Um, but I'm not gonna lie, after Killy left, I did find myself in a bit of a struggle town situation where I didn't know who which horse to back because I love having like a fave going into the end, and I think I forced myself to stan Jackson late in the game, yeah, and I've gotta say it was hard work, but in this moment, like back to the back to last Sunday night, I was I was really feeling the love for Jackson, and I think it slowly kind of waned as I gave into the inevitable, yeah. Which was always gonna be. I think after Keely left, it was like there was no combination where Caleb didn't win, don't you think?

SPEAKER_01

I I totally agree. I um I mean what I loved with this season's edit though is that quite often, like even like quite early in the piece, you can kind of see where it's going. With I had no clue, like trying to read the edit this year was a lot more difficult, and I really liked that. So I really I agree.

SPEAKER_03

They they've pulled some fast ones on us. Um like the the the Keely boot particularly that I was I was blindsided by the but also it looked like Mark was getting a winner's edit. It's absolutely at the start.

SPEAKER_01

Yes, you know.

SPEAKER_03

Even Brooke for a little bit, I was like, Yes, we've got a book title two at least, or and I and I really enjoyed that.

SPEAKER_01

And I feel like um, yeah, they really I think the edit this season was absolutely awesome. Um I mean, if I had wanted to pick a winner over Caleb and Jackson, I thought Caleb was had played a much better game. I thought he had much better relationships with people. And like I'm you know, I'm not really down with those guys that just want to bro out all the time.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, I think that's what we I think that was Jackson's downfall in the end. It was just the social game. Um yeah, we we see Caleb kind of interacting with everyone a bit more, yeah, playing around a bit more. Jackson was kind of stoic at times, and yeah, the edit was confusing because we, you know, we're not there, we don't see real. Well, we're not seeing every conversation.

SPEAKER_00

That's right.

SPEAKER_03

So it's hard to tell. Um, speaking of, can you please explain to me the use of the word underdog? Oh god, particularly from this episode on the Sunday, I was getting so frustrated because uh I like Jackson was watching Caleb use this term all the time, where what we're seeing at home was that he was in the majority pretty much the whole time in the the latter stage of the game, anyway.

SPEAKER_01

But I think when Mark and Brooke were still in the game, those other guys that that's how they coined the term because I mean they were up against these amazing returnees, but they got rid of them. I know. So did they go from being the underdogs becoming the like the the super dogs or the overdogs or whatever? Do you know what I mean? Like obviously that went by the wayside, but they kept that they kept that moniker up, didn't they? And so I think they liked it. I think that they really liked yeah, exactly.

SPEAKER_03

I just found it really confusing as a viewer because I was like, because I'm always backing whoever's kind of in the harder spot. Yeah, true. And so I was kind of like in my mind, Jackson's the underdog.

SPEAKER_01

Well, yes, I mean, yes, he was he was kaput, let's be honest. But he put himself in that situation. It's true.

SPEAKER_03

Yes, yes, yep, yeah. Oh no, I'm absolutely not taking any flowers from Caleb. I think he played an incredible game. I'm more just critiquing the edit and just kind of I I would have I would have actually liked it if they tried a little bit harder to connect us to Caleb a bit earlier or something. I don't know. I think they did it in a way, but like there was the the I think the fish catching a fish with his bare hands moment was a key one for me where I was like, I see what you're doing here.

SPEAKER_01

That is that was that was iconic. That will that picture it will n will be cemented in our survivor AU brains forever. Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. Uh Laz tells Jackson that she had other ideas for last night and I'm like cool story, Laz.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. I just wish I wish that Laz like you know, often when you when you're playing like when we're watching players out there and they're obviously playing together, you see one that's a leader and one that's a follower. I can't help but think that Loz was involved in a lot of stuff that Caleb was doing, but we just didn't get to see it. And I wish that she had claimed that more, or whether if she did, we just didn't see it, the edit didn't give it to us.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, I would have liked a bit more a peek inside Loz's brain, a bit more. It was very frustrating because it's like she kept saying, Oh, you could tell she was frustrated that she'd made it this far but didn't have the resume. But it's like, well, I would have loved a an out loud brainstorm sesh with Loz in her confessional telling us what her options were. We never got that. No, so it made her seem like this kind of I'm gonna say it's sort of weak player, which I don't think she is, but unfortunately she was construed in that way because we didn't get that peak in. So I feel like she got a bit um dodged, and then they they tried also to use the grab of her kind of having a little go at Caleb in the final tribal, which I love, love a salty final juror. Um, but even that like she wasn't at all, no, no, she wasn't at all. So, like, but but what I'm saying is she had the capacity to kind of turn it on for the cameras when she needed to. Yeah, but I was like, where was that earlier? I don't know.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, yeah. Yeah, um, and I wish she'd had I wish she had made a move. I mean, if she'd got rid of Caleb earlier, that would have been her, that could have been a game-changing move. Um, because okay, you don't need to you can be involved in a whole lot of little plays, but you get a big play like that, that's a big fucking tick on your resume, isn't it?

SPEAKER_03

Totally. Yeah, they would try and a little bit, but and imagine if um if Sally had saved Keely. Oh, exactly. Which I would have loved, even though I would have loved.

SPEAKER_01

I was just sitting there going, do it, do it, do it. Like that was fucking game on its fucking head. Yeah. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Oh no.

SPEAKER_01

And maybe, you know, also it's like, okay, I can't beat Keely at the end, but who can I beat at the end? Like, who was she going to be able to beat? She wasn't going to be able to beat Caleb. She probably wouldn't have been able to beat um Jackson. And was she going to be able to get to beat Loz? Maybe, maybe not. But because Loz was dearly loved, but you know, wouldn't you like to take somebody that you really, really want to win to the end?

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, exactly.

SPEAKER_01

I don't know. That's that's just another crazy way of looking at it, probably not very survivorish, but yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Well, in this final four, um, Caleb goes off on his little raft journey, giving Jack. I he went pretty far out and I felt the same. I was like, whoa, okay.

SPEAKER_01

It's because dangerous when you're out there, they've got people that are like if we're in or near the water, there are lifesavers.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

You know, people with a fucking ring of some sort to go out and save us. But and there are sharks out there. We used to see sharks all the time. So um, it was pretty impressive of him to go out there like that. I mean, I don't know whether because it's a reef, like beyond our beach, you can and you can see and hear the ray waves breaking late in the afternoon and the in the evening, and it's like a full reef. So there were lots of reef sharks out there.

SPEAKER_03

Anyway, I looked good, it was a great little cinematography. I was like, here's our winner out on a raft, is what I was thinking. But look, it gave Jackson five minutes without Caleb around to go, hey ladies, what do you reckon? Final three, and then Sal and Loz do what they've been doing this whole time. They psych themselves up for their big move that they're not gonna do. Yeah, this is the last time we get that. But for a second there, I was I mean, I was never convinced, but for a second there, I was like, oh, maybe.

SPEAKER_01

And what have they got to lose at this point? I don't know why they weren't thinking that. Like, but yeah, look, here's me saying that, and I can talk, but it's it's fuck I know it's I know it's hard, and I know that by this time, you know, you're 43 days in and you're star you you're absolutely starving. Yeah, and yes, your brain is not thinking as well as you would like it to, but I just I I I just those girls should have got together and been like, what have we got to lose? We've got nothing to lose now. We've got these blokes that um are still dominating, like we need to take charge here.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, we get the final four immunity challenge, it was a big one, big obstacle course thing.

SPEAKER_01

Um that was crazy, wasn't it?

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, it was kind of close, minus Sally, who unfortunately was just tiffing that thing.

SPEAKER_01

But I just think it if you are going out to play Survivor, you need to get with some ball skills.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, no, seriously, no, you really do, you really don't hitting targets and stuff. Yeah, uh Jackson Wins, which was great uh for the story, and yeah, if he didn't, I feel like this whole last week would have had a very different trajectory and would not have been as entertaining. So we're very glad Jackson won. Yeah, uh, and now Caleb's like, oh no, one of my friends is going, and I'm thinking, well, yeah, why so cocky? Could be you, but no, he he really had this hold on these two, didn't he? Like he was picked the right people, absolutely.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, and and that's that's good gameplay, isn't it?

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, very good.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_03

He pitches fire between him and Sally Telaz.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Um which I was thinking there's no way they're gonna let this happen, but here we are.

SPEAKER_01

I uh when when that was pitched, because that was quite early in the episode, too. He's like, I'm ready to go to fire with Sally. I mean, and he was obviously super, super confident in himself. Um, and you could see him making fire a lot, like you he was at the fire a lot. I didn't I Sally might might have been, but I never saw it. Um and in my season when I went to fire against Raymond, we um Raymond didn't know I could make fire, but I'd been fucking doing fires for a month every night before I went out there. So I knew I could make it. You have to be prepared. You have to become a survivor and not be able to make make fire.

SPEAKER_03

My God Raymond blessed. That's bringing back memories for a sweetheart. Really? Yeah. You're like, whatever. Um, so before this tribal sell-in-laws check in and they're like, let's do Caleb. Yeah, like big, big wink camera.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

And I go, fool me once, ladies.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Shame on you.

SPEAKER_01

On you, fool me.

SPEAKER_03

Fool me twice.

SPEAKER_01

Shame on me. Exactly. This isn't gonna happen. Which was oh god. Yeah, I wonder, I'd love to know what they're thinking about that. Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, it'd be interesting, because yeah, I don't know, like particularly with Loz, who like we got this story later on in the season about her journey and how important it was for her to be there.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

And I was just like, I was annoyed that I didn't feel that more.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, yeah. And that's because we didn't get more of her making any moves. I mean, I definitely resonated with her, you know, being an older woman and having kids to show, you know, wanting to really show your kids that your mum is strong and that she's capable and she can get down with these fucking young, you know, little whip whippersnappers.

SPEAKER_03

And that's and I'm root rooting for that character as well, where I'm like, yes, like prove these men wrong, like all of that stuff. Totally. It's hard to when yeah, they can't. She's gotta make a move.

SPEAKER_01

She's gotta get it. Yeah, she's gotta get it, she's gotta get a couple of moves and make them her own and not not be, you know, even if she had said to Caleb, I want to do this, and he's like, Yeah, I've got your back. You helped me with this this move, so let's go do this together, and it's your move. I wish that we had seen something like that, but we didn't.

SPEAKER_03

I think Keeley said it perfectly at the final tribal when she was like, When I'm saying she's like asked asked them about crimes they committed, and she goes, When I say that, I mean risks, and that's what I've been saying this whole time. It's like, yeah, to make a big move, it it's not just like peep people you know are gonna vote with you or rocks or something stupid like that. It's like, no, no, you need to risk something. That's what all the big names that have come out of this show have done. They've done really risky stuff.

SPEAKER_01

It's much more interesting to have a risky game than it is to not swinging. Yeah, yeah, you know, yeah, yeah. Oh, I 100% agree. And you know, I feel like that was definitely part of you know, huge part of my game was probably riskier than a lot of people out there, but you didn't get to see it all.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. The word underdog continues to be prosecuted, and Caleb says, Everybody be pitching. Yeah, and then we go to fire. Yeah, which I was like, lost. But hey, it's always fun to have a fire.

SPEAKER_00

Imagine if she'd flipped.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. Iconic, iconic.

SPEAKER_00

If she'd flipped, she would have been there.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, because she could have made a final two deal.

SPEAKER_01

She could have made a final two deal with either Sally or um Jackson.

SPEAKER_03

Well, I didn't realize how little love Jackson had at this point. I literally thought, in my mind, I'm like, they're into him as much as I am as a viewer.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

But I didn't see all that social stuff, you know. So I I didn't realize that Blanche is sitting there in Drevilla going, oh, that guy didn't ask me any questions. Like, do you know what I mean?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. But it's really you it's it it's like I think it is the most important part of your game out there. If you don't know something about every single person out there, you fucked up majorly. Um, and obviously we saw that in season 49. And even though Savannah, I mean, that was really a black mark against her name. I loved when when it was when that was brought up. But it's really important because and and I loved Caleb's response to that, that he found even though Caleb was probably from a, you know, they were he was probably socially a lot different than everybody else. And that's all you need to do is you just like there were people in my season that I wouldn't have met in real life, but I you just need to find one thing that connects you both, and you don't forget it. And I mean, that's what I do, and I'm sure what you do in real life, like that's what exactly, yeah. Exactly. You've got to like finding and I and meeting new people and different people than I wouldn't that I wouldn't get to normally meet in my everyday life is one of my favorite things.

SPEAKER_03

So yeah, I think that's how you get yourself to the end, at least. And then and then having some stuff ready to go for for the time when someone puts you on the spot and says, What's my child's name? And you go, Fuck, there goes half a mil.

SPEAKER_01

Well, it's you know, how does it feel to go, oh, actually, yeah, yeah, blah blah blah.

SPEAKER_03

Your kid does this and that and whatever.

SPEAKER_01

Yep, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Um, yeah.

SPEAKER_03

After fire is announced, Jackson explains to Loz on the bench how bad this is for all of them because now Caleb is gonna have fire on his resume, and that's what we were all thinking. He's like, What have you done? You just handed him and he and he, of course, milked it as he should have, yeah, um, in the final um tribal, as this cherry on top of his game. It's like perfect, you know? Yeah, because it's a risk. He he risks something and yeah, beat someone fair and square.

SPEAKER_01

And fair and square, fastest fire makes in Australian survivor history. So explain this to me.

SPEAKER_03

How did he know that?

SPEAKER_01

Um, I have absolutely no idea. I can only think that production actually said to him I must have yes, yeah. Guess what, Caleb? Um, that was the fastest fire in in Australian um survivor history. And I'm just like, I'm just thinking back to like through my memory of uh it to me, it seemed super, super quick.

SPEAKER_03

The stats they should bring it up on screen.

SPEAKER_01

I know, have like a little caption down below. Yeah. Um, so I reckon, yeah, one of the produ what somebody in production told him you have asked.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, because when he whipped that out later, I was like, excuse me, sir.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, yeah. And because I don't think he was a huge, huge survivor fan. Really?

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. That checks out, but fan of silliness and tomfoolery.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Because Jackson he knew nothing about Survivor.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Like zero. Zero. But was a fan of showmanship and he's like a he's like a you know, he he's yeah, he's a drama queen. He he wants to create a show everywhere he goes.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. Uh 23 is called You Know I've Got You. And boom. I this editing, I gotta, I really gotta give it to the team. This final week, Chef's Kiss, not a frame was wasted. Yeah, it was like boom, challenge. There was no like, oh no, sometimes they're fucking around in the shelter. And I'm like, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. There's three of you left. Like, let's get into it.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

And they just went boom, challenge. Boom, Jackson's mum, yeah, boom, Caleb's dad, boom, Loz's kids, yeah. Tears. Incredible.

SPEAKER_01

Were you crying?

SPEAKER_03

Oh, yeah. Particularly the the relationship that got me, and I think most people was Jackson and his mum. I just found that really like the the I can relate to that idea of feeling like you've you've let your parents down, you know, and that like I just thought that was really sweet. Uh for the city.

SPEAKER_01

Whereas I was the opposite. I would have been loss as kids, right? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Like if I had had my kids come out there, I would have been a fucking I would have been like a mess. Yes.

SPEAKER_03

I can't imagine. Well, that too.

SPEAKER_01

I can't imagine either. Like it was hard enough having my husband out there, but having your kids out there, I just thought that was amazing. I was, I had tears streaming down my face watching that. And I kind of, you know how you watch for the order? And I thought, okay. So there w when I knew that Loz Loz's kids were coming out second, I thought, oh, they're gonna really play up this. Whoever's coming out for Jackson, there's obviously a very big emotional component to it.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, it's just they had that story that they set up earlier in that cinema um reward about him dropping out of uni and taking up wrestling and stuff, and his parents weren't quite sold on it. And I feel like for him, this is his way of being like, look, like I did something.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Um, which, like, that's not it's a very like drag race edit.

SPEAKER_01

Totally. But also his mum flying out there having not had a passport and not got on a plane before. That's what got me.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

In that particular part of the edit with him was hit the fact that his mum never flies. Because I'm I fly everywhere. Like I, you know, I'm on a plane every month. And so to to think that somebody's out there that doesn't that like isn't like it's like obviously. It was a big opportunity for her to have.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, and he life for her you know, yeah, that was really sweet. And can I say Jackson's mom killed it? Uh not only was she, you know, supportive, but she was there when Caleb was trying his best to throw Jackson mentally, which I've got to say, I get it, it's a game, whatever. It I did I think it was a little gross and hard to watch. Yes, personally. I thought some of it was a little bit like like he's obviously gonna fall soon anyway.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Um when he goes, Oh, don't hurt yourself, mate. I was like, Oh, I thought that felt a bit cheap. I don't know. And then Kayla, uh Jackson's mum.

SPEAKER_01

Maybe cheeky, maybe cheeky, cheeky, cheeky's right.

SPEAKER_03

And then Jackson's mum being like he he's got like, you know, basically telling Caleb to get staffed, and that he's got I thought was beautiful, even though we all knew he wasn't gonna win. Like he his face was like excruciating pain.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, it is a fucking it's like nails being driven through your feet without an anesthetic, right? With a hammer.

SPEAKER_03

Horrible. Yeah, I've got a tweet here from Jackson that I want to read out. He said, a little story from last night's episode. The medical team yelled at me to get off for an hour, and I told them repeatedly, in not so nice terms, that I won't be doing that. Apologies to them. It was heated, and they are actually the best. So I knew I knew it. I knew it. Like watching it, I'm like, he's screaming at these because Gigi was standing next to him for such a long time.

SPEAKER_01

And if you looked at Gigi's posts as well, he had practiced like going and getting somebody off the spikes and if they collapsed or if they needed help getting off. They were really high up, yes, yes, yes, and they were unstable, like it was obviously unstable. So um, and the last, you know, you're not getting any what you would have had a bowl of rice before he went out there and and and I remember I remember when I went out to do mine, the medic saying to me, he's like, chug as much water as you can. And I'm like, I can't, because you feel sick, like because your stomach's drunken so much, you just you don't want to chug too much water. And he's like, he made me. He's like, you need to chug all this water because you'll get up the I don't want you to dehydrate up there. And I was like, Yeah, but I don't want to piss myself either.

SPEAKER_03

Do you sure either had electrolytes or something for Jackson? Hopefully, surely, because he would he was not doing well, and he's a big boy, so yeah, he's a big boy. I was thinking this whole time, like he's massive, he's got big old paddle feet, yeah. Um, which my husband was like, that's not fair, they should give him different size picks. And I'm like, I don't know about that. No way. Um, but he you know what I mean. Like he if he was fell down, that would have been a a tree falling over in the in the woods.

SPEAKER_01

But I think if if it had got to the point where they thought he was about to pass out, somebody would have been there. Like, I can guarantee it, like those that team there, they or their priority, their number one priority amongst any everything is not television, it's your safety, yeah, your well-being. That's all they care about.

SPEAKER_03

I also need to talk about the lighting. So Jackson has his whole thing, that was wild, and then it like cuts back to Los and Caleb, who are still up there looking completely fine, which was like um, and I've got to say, this lighting, Caleb looked incredible up on there. He looked really sexy, yeah. Um, well done to him for that. Uh, but he was getting a little cocky for my liking, I think is the word. Cheeky, cocky, I don't know.

SPEAKER_01

I feel like it's cheeky because I I think when you're I don't think he wanna would have wanted to hurt Jackson, but sometimes when you're in a situation like that, like if Jacko had been winning, he would have been pumping himself up, Sam.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

For sure. And so I think Caleb was just point trying to pump himself up just a little bit. You know, it's such a mind game. If that that thing, as although it's incredibly physical, it's a mind game. Like it's how long can you deal with pain? That's what it's all about.

SPEAKER_03

And very on-brand of him as well. He's a cheeky little fucker and he spent the whole season doing that. So why change now? I guess yeah, I don't know. I guess for some reason I wasn't on board with it, and then it just took me a long time to come around and be like, all right, this guy's a little rat bag, he knows it, he's locked in, I've got to lock in as well.

SPEAKER_01

One of the things that I did like about Caleb, though, is that although he was this cheeky little fucker sometimes and he was Caleb Chaos and a Caleb of Chaos and all this kind of stuff, the there were moments where he was just so gentle and so calm. And I'd spoke about this um somewhere else where like the relationship between he and Loz, but also the relationship between he and Mark, I just felt was soft and kind and kind of almost father-son-ish, and maybe with Loz either, you know, co possibly mother-son as well. Like there was just a m there was a real softness to it, and it really bought out the softness in him. And I don't think, and I really liked that side of him because it was clearly, clearly there. And then watching his social media also since, like, he has wanted to take something good away for, you know, really change his life after after since since he filmed. And I think he really has. And I applaud that because he wasn't just chasing, you know, influencer heaven or more likes or more clicks. Do you know what I mean? Yeah, he actually really wanted to change his life, and I feel like he is going to.

SPEAKER_03

Very well put.

SPEAKER_01

Thank you.

SPEAKER_03

Uh, we get to the trouble. So uh comes down to Lozen and Caleb.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

And this is kind of also uh Los and Caleb up there on the oh, sorry, sorry, sorry.

SPEAKER_01

On the pairs, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_03

And this is kind of the bit where they both look at each other and they're like, hang on.

SPEAKER_01

And the paranoia sets Have you really got me?

SPEAKER_03

Have you really got me? And this is like, oh, this is where their bond ends. Yeah. Because they were up there for so long. She could see it. And I feel, and you've said it as well, like you can relate to laws like going out there with something to prove.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

And I feel like she just really I could tell she just really wanted a challenge win.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Under her belt, it would have meant a lot to her. It happened in another one of the endurance challenges. She was like, nah, I really need this. So she wasn't.

SPEAKER_01

I kind of don't like that because it's like if they give up the challenge for you, then they're giving up the challenge for you. They're not giving it up. She's not winning, they're giving it up. So it's actually not a win. And I think if Caleb had got like decided not to win it and give it to her, that would have been a it would have looked bad for him. 100%.

SPEAKER_03

Looks bad for both of them. I the last time she did it as well. I was kind of like, yeah, like you're saying, if you if you want to win it fair and square, would never do it. Ask someone to hand it to you. Yeah, awkward dynamic.

SPEAKER_01

Totally. You want to win it fair and fucking square. Like nothing no holds barred. Like, okay, let's fight this out. Yeah, I I wasn't, I didn't really like that. It's not something I would ever even consider.

SPEAKER_03

And he wins, and then we go to this tribal. Yeah. Which wild. This was sweet. Like uh Sally rocks up in a teeny tiny dress, which I was like, work. And then beautiful. Then uh Jackson tears up talking about his mum, as does our mark on the jury.

SPEAKER_01

Again, yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Mark just with the being the spokesperson of the jury villa. Yeah, mayor of Jury Villa. He took it on.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, he loved that.

SPEAKER_03

Loved it. Uh, and then Jackson pitches a final two battle between him and Caleb. The breakfast wars reminded about the the Brecki bluff.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

And Loz is pitch less exciting. She's like, but we have a special bond, remember?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_03

And I'm like, we know. And I felt like the writing was on the wall here. And then, and this was so fun. I was like on Blue Sky live during this episode, and everyone was convinced Loz was going to the end. And the reaction from the jury, from uh Loz, from the internet when that happened, when he wrote down Loz's name was incredible.

SPEAKER_01

And we got to see that on the finale night. They actually showed that.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, amazing.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, and so uh so they didn't show us a lot, they only showed us that and the actual reading of the votes, but it was like like it was crazy watching the whole crowd just go like it was totally unexpected. But I think I think also Loz dug herself into a little bit of a hole when she spoke about how they had similar games. And I feel like that was an another kind of nail in her coffin to Caleb. He needed to, he needed to go up against somebody that had quite a different because he needed to differentiate himself from whoever he was sitting beside.

SPEAKER_03

Differentiation, Simon's favorite word this season.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, uh bloody hell.

SPEAKER_03

Oh my god. Uh takes us to the finale. This was an incredible episode.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Um, final two, have their iconic breakfast together. Um, Caleb.

SPEAKER_01

I can't believe that they woke up to it just sitting there. Because when when when it happened with us, we woke up and they said, I'll come for a walk. And we were like, Okay. And I knew exactly, I said to Ferris, they're good, they're they're getting brekkie ready for us. And he's like, What are you talking about, Caroline? What do you mean they have to break it? Like, no, have you not watched this show? There's a hundred two breaky.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, like I've been thinking about this breakfast since day one.

SPEAKER_01

I've been dreaming about it the night before.

SPEAKER_03

I was like, We're getting brecky to mimosas in the morning. Yes, uh, but Caleb tells Jackson about how he lost faith in laws when they were up there on the pegs. Yeah. She wasn't gonna drop for him, but was trying to get him and you know that they psyched each other out.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, they literally psyched each other out. Yep.

SPEAKER_03

And so he explains to Jackson that's why you're here because she was gonna knife me. Do you think she was gonna do that? Or was that pure paranoia?

SPEAKER_01

No, I think it was paranoia. I think Loz would have taken him 100%. I agree.

SPEAKER_03

I think there was no universe.

SPEAKER_01

Like, why wait till also that is works to her advantage? It's like I've been in this, I've had this alliance for so long. I am staying true to this alliance, and I'm sticking it through till the very, very end. And she she would have. Would it have been as exciting?

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Maybe not.

SPEAKER_03

Maybe not. Yeah, for story-wise, very glad heart shaked out. I genuinely think uh she uh Laws really wanted a challenge win, and that's why she was being desperate, not so she could take him out. And I think he I think he I think he's such a strong game player, he c couldn't think like that. So he was like, Oh, if she wants to win this bad, it's so she can nice me in the back. But I genuinely think it was so she could go home just being like, Look what I did. I I genuinely think that's that was her motivation.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, but I disagree on all those fronts.

SPEAKER_03

Not the way to do it, maybe. Um Jackson promises us a show because he is a showman. And Final Tribal commences. The jury enters for the final time, and they so told Loz to have a pissed-off face, didn't they?

SPEAKER_01

They must have. Although I imagine that going out and seeing him for the first time after that, it would have been like, fuck you, mate. And I bet she was thinking I would have taken you. Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. And it was fresh.

SPEAKER_01

I was kind of hoping she did go him a bit more, like in the the tiny grab they might she probably did, Sam, but they uh probably just didn't show it all in the edit. Because I that that tribal council, it's not going for 10 minutes, it's going for an hour and a half. Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Caleb's pitch is first. Um he's like, it's the year of the underdogs. And he bigs up his double agent game, his alliance with Mark, fire, and the quickest fire in history, he tells us.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

And yeah, I don't know. I I thought it was a good pitch, but it was a bit messy, as Cameron later tells us. Um, I thought Jackson's pitch was actually better. I don't know. I just thought it was a bit more like calm and cool. But I disagree. Oh, yeah, no, great.

SPEAKER_01

I I liked I liked Caleb's more. I just felt like Caleb's was more genuinely Caleb authentic.

SPEAKER_03

It was authentic.

SPEAKER_01

Yes, where it's I thought, you know, like Jackson, you can speak louder, but it doesn't mean we're going to listen more. Do you know what I mean? And he was putting on a show and it was putting on a show.

SPEAKER_03

He's playing the character, and and that's what he struggles with. Is yeah, he's playing his character. Yes, it's who he's created for the for his wrestling.

SPEAKER_01

It's not authentic.

SPEAKER_03

It's not.

SPEAKER_01

And and I think when you go against any jury, you've got to be as authentic as possible. Yeah. When we don't want a show, we just want you.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, and that was the realization I was having in real time in this final. I was like, Caleb might be annoying as all fuck, but that's who he is. And like, yeah, he also played really well. Um, and I think Jackson was Jackson figured it out really well for someone that doesn't really know much about the show, but like, um, yeah. Oh, he also the the shouting for me with Caleb was stressful, so I liked it. I don't like any shouting.

SPEAKER_01

And I thought, you know, I thought the jury was really kind. I think they like they helped them along in ways that hasn't really happened before. And I definitely appreciated that because being up there, it is the most fucking scariest thing you'll ever do. Like it's super scary.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Um, and you've got everything in your head and you've ever got everything going around in your head, and you feel like you're prepared. But you know, to be in front of a jury that is um hostile makes things 10 times harder than a jury, I think, like this one, that really wanted they were dragging things out of them, and they really wanted to give them, they wanted to hear their best pitch and their honesty and authenticity from both of them.

SPEAKER_03

Well, Mark was uh very happy to fly the Caleb flag. He was a really he was like, mate, tell them how you manipulated me. I was like, Mark, mate, but we love to see it. It's his role as and Laws, even yeah, and Laws, even Sally. Yeah, there was campaigning going on, which definitely I don't know. I and I guess we didn't get Jury Villa this season, but I like seeing that there, not so much here. I like it to be a little bit more of a surprise. Yeah, I think going in which direction, yeah. Um, but hey, at least it was an authentic tribal. They were campaigning, they were it was live, they were trying to convince each other.

SPEAKER_01

They were kind, they were kind to the players. Um, and I think to be in a tribal council where you've got players that are being kind to you, uh I I I can't imagine how good how much easier that would make everything.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, absolutely. Uh Loz asks Jackson to be vulnerable.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Uh she's like, why did it take so long? And I agree with her. I was like, yep, we did need to see that. And she was basically saying, and it was kind of her to say, look, this is all that you're missing from you know, all of us hitching onto your wagon. But um yeah, we just needed a bit more vulnerability. Totally. It was so drag race. It was very ball up there going, Who are you? Show us, show us who you are, show us who you are. Yeah, uh, he I thought you I thought he answered that one quite well, actually. I think so too.

SPEAKER_01

I think so too.

SPEAKER_03

And there were some more tears.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Uh, and then kind of grills Caleb, but not really. She's actually helping him. She's like, claim it. She's she's basically saying, I'm giving you permission to claim the move.

SPEAKER_01

But she's she says, Claim it. Like, take it, Caleb. You did this, you did this. So um, yeah, it's fucking awesome.

SPEAKER_03

It was great to watch, and I like that it felt even-ish. Like, I I still the whole time I was like, Caleb's gonna win this, but I was thinking, who are these people that are gonna vote? Jackson, yeah. I knew there was gonna be some. I've I thought Simon for sure.

SPEAKER_01

I thought Ben for sure, and I thought Simon for sure. They were the only two that I thought were locked in. Um, but I think it just goes, I think it show the votes showed that everybody definitely had their own mind that they weren't influenced by anybody. And so, and that's good, yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Because Keely, for example, yes, she like you know, played with Jackson for a bit, but like she's too much of a she's too much of a fangirl to be like to not give it to the person who deserved it. We deserved it the most. So I I appreciated that. Yeah, um, Mark, we knew was very and I think Mark, you're gonna hate me saying this, but I feel like Mark's obsession with Caleb was a little bit ego-driven because it was like he got me out, so he must be good, you know, which like I love that as well. It's like building on his own law of teaching. Totally.

SPEAKER_02

And I would be the same.

SPEAKER_03

If someone took me out, I'd be their biggest fan because I'd be like so flattered by being targeted.

SPEAKER_01

And I loved that Mark was mayor of Jury Villa. Like that was as hard as it was to fit, I'm sure, for him to go at that point because I'm sure he had more chaos to to um ensue he uh he to get the mayor of Jury Villa. Yeah, it would have been he would have been great for that role.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, you did great, Mark. Yeah, um, they vote. We see Mark's vote for Caleb and we see Simon's vote for Jackson, and then and I love this because they did not know this was gonna happen. GG picks up the urn and says, See you in Sydney, bitches, and they're like, Bloat their mind.

SPEAKER_01

Did you see Cameron's face? Cameron's face was oh my god, and I mean for the for the fans of Survivor, like like that were sitting there, it would have been like, Holy fuck, this is and clearly they hadn't told them because they could have they could have clued them in production, could have.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, oh yeah, totally. Um, how would you have felt if that happened? Would you have been like excited or kind of annoyed that you didn't get to find out straight away?

SPEAKER_01

No, I know I would have been so excited. Yeah, I would have been beyond excited because yeah, I I I just think it, you know, it extends the gameplay in a way, doesn't it? Like it draws it out more for you because this whole experience is feels like it's over in a second, and to have it drawn out even further, and then knowing that there's going to be a live finale somewhere.

SPEAKER_03

Like, how cool. So cool. Did you I want to know, did you and Jackson have a little chat about what it's like to be a runner-up?

SPEAKER_01

Do you really want to know? Yeah, I do. He didn't know who I was. Of course not, he doesn't watch the show. He thought I was a fan.

SPEAKER_03

Gagged. That's so good. Were you like, okay.

SPEAKER_01

I was like, okay, and I have a son named Jackson that's also 25. Yeah. Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, he's a baby. Is he 25?

SPEAKER_01

He's 25.

SPEAKER_03

Okay, that makes a lot of sense.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, he had no clue who I was, and his mum came up and she was like, Oh, who are you? Yeah, anyway, I was like, nope, I was where he was.

SPEAKER_02

I was right here.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, two years ago. And yeah, that was that. Not cute.

SPEAKER_03

No, they should have lost their minds.

SPEAKER_01

No, no, I don't even I don't even I don't even expect that, but I guess um uh it's not what I was expecting in terms of I think if you didn't know anything about Survivor, maybe just have a look and see who like who were the big players over the last couple of years, maybe.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, so we see the votes, and you were right it was uh uh Simon and Ben and Brooke voted for Jackson so Brooke was the other one. That was interesting.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, me too. And I think it must have just been because of the Caput Alliance.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

I I didn't uh I mean, tell me if I'm wrong, did you see them have a relationship out there before that?

SPEAKER_03

No, not really.

SPEAKER_01

No, but she must have touched something in him that she he she obviously really thought he deserved it. So anyway.

SPEAKER_03

They did a pretty good job with edit, because I I thought it was gonna be close, and I think 6-3 is pretty close, yeah, because we normally I feel like we got a a few landslides in there.

SPEAKER_01

So at least it's not that, yeah, yeah, definitely, definitely.

SPEAKER_03

And um yeah, Miles was a landslide, wasn't he?

SPEAKER_01

Uh yes.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, yes, and Parv, surely.

SPEAKER_01

I can't remember.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, I'm pretty sure.

SPEAKER_01

I'm pretty sure she was too, yeah.

SPEAKER_03

How could you not?

SPEAKER_01

How could you not?

SPEAKER_03

Like then we get this reunion, which was pretty good.

SPEAKER_01

I I thought it was pretty tame. I wanted to see a little bit more spicy honest.

SPEAKER_03

That's why you gotta watch uh Juri's Out with Friend of the Pud Nick I Danza and Johnny. That was great. They got spicy on there.

SPEAKER_01

Because I also feel like I've just heard that there was so much spice out there, and I really fucking wanted to see it in the reunion, even just a little bit, like maybe just a little bit of beef, but there was nothing. It was very PG, it was very kind and considerate, and um, but it was also really fun. Like I loved how Gigi just like everyone got a really good opportunity to speak. Even Daniel, I thought that was you know, Daniel and um Alive. Oh, totally love, yeah, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Um, all of them Asha Lottie, they gave people their flowers for their different moments on the season, which was good, but it did it was a bit more clip show than yeah, getting to the drama.

SPEAKER_01

I gotta tell you, um oh god, why can't I remember? Um Eliza meeting, like I met everybody. I absolut I chatted to every single person, but like I only chatted for a minute to Jackson and and I chatted with Ben, um, but I chatted a little bit more with everyone else out there.

SPEAKER_03

Is Eliza the one that's with Matt Agnew or someone from no different one? Oh Lindell, Lindell, sorry, I knew some one of them was uh with an ex-batchy.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, Lidl fucking oh my god, just the hottest woman you've ever seen. Like she looked absolutely um stunning out there. My god, Eliza was absolutely gorgeous. Asia, oh my god, oh incredible. I need to bother.

SPEAKER_03

I think Ben for me this season, I was just like I bet supermodel of the world.

SPEAKER_01

That hair, I can't believe he's dropped it off.

SPEAKER_03

I know, yeah. He looked really good.

SPEAKER_01

Devo, Devo, yeah, Devo, that hair out and the facial hair I was into as well. He looked amazing, looked really good. He looked like he lost a lot of weight out there, to be honest. Yeah, because he was a lot more bulky at the beginning than he was at the end, that's for sure.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, and then my favorite moment of this um was not the Master Chef Judges. Congratulating Caleb, it was that was it was when Gigi said, and next year we're going to Malaysia. And I literally was taken back to like teenage me watching American Survivor, where you would get really excited about them revealing where it was. We're doing store next year, and he also said there'd be a new theme. Yeah, that's never been done before. Oh, have you got any ideas? I've got absolutely no idea no idea. Because they're all newbies as well, so it's not gonna be the theme that I really want, which is a fans v Faves. Yeah, and yes, I will.

SPEAKER_01

Well, we don't know that for that. We don't we don't know yet.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, we don't know. We'll see.

SPEAKER_01

We don't know. We don't know. We'll have to wait and see.

SPEAKER_03

Because I hear that they also want to be doing more all-stars type things, but they're not sure if they can do two a year. That's kind of floating out around there.

SPEAKER_01

So and I think um the oil crisis is, you know, obviously like it's it's gonna play into all of this, isn't it? Um totally. Yeah, that the the world is in a really fucked up place right now. Yeah. But I think Malaysia's obviously a good safe place to go to. Happy about that.

SPEAKER_03

I assume it's because there's more appetite from maybe a tourism sponsor or something like that. Like I assume it's because they someone's gonna fund it.

SPEAKER_01

Well, I think it's also where they film some of the European survivors. Uh, okay. So there's it's already set there is sets it's already partially set up for that, so they kind of just need to make it their own Survivor AU kind of deal. But yeah, that's you know, and who knows? There's so many rumors going around.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

And always is. There's always there's always gosse.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Well, I'm just excited for a new location. I think it's great.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Why not?

SPEAKER_01

I'm sad for Samoa. Like I'm sure that Spar AU bought a lot to Samoa. Samoa is a third world country, so um, I'm sure it's done a lot for Samoa over the years. Um, and obviously they've been there what? They've been there, what, four years now?

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, it's been since those COVID seasons, right? Yeah, because they did the the two in Oz, which I I loved the seasons in Australia, I've got to say. Like just having a lot of people. They were amazing.

SPEAKER_01

I think the contestants would uh beg to differ. Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, not as fun as being on a tropical beach.

SPEAKER_01

Well, and they're in dirt, they're not in sand with a beach, they've got a billiabong and desert at red dirt, and so and there are a lot of fucking snakes. Like, I just think that there were so many snakes, and we're not talking about you, Caleb.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. Oh fun. Well, Carolyn, thank you so much for joining me. I couldn't think of a better finale guest.

SPEAKER_01

Thank you so much. This has just been like just such a nice chat. It I really feel like we've it's really completed the season for me as well, kind of to chat about with you. Yeah, absolutely therapy.

SPEAKER_03

Thanks. I agree. I feel very, I feel very at peace with the outcome and the season. And I gotta say, this season, it was great. Well done. Well done to the team. Yes, tip my hat.

SPEAKER_02

Yes.

SPEAKER_03

Um, I still shed a a little tear for JLP, not gonna lie, but yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Me too. I mean, and you know, having been with him and experienced him, yeah. Oh I I thought Gigi did an em like I I thought it was effortless to be honest with with him this season. That's good. And I I don't see uh I don't think it would have been effortless with anybody else.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, you're sorry. I think there were like a a few tiny teething issues in the first few weeks, and then it was like yeah, he's been doing this forever.

SPEAKER_01

But I just want to see a little bit more of G cheeky GG. Yeah, yeah, because that's the like and I mean obviously JLP was super, super cheap too. But we just need to see a little because we know that there's that cheeky side of GG, but we just need to see a little bit more of it and maybe, yeah, maybe some different shirts or something, that'd be nice.

SPEAKER_03

Maybe the tank top was great, that was a hit.

SPEAKER_01

Well, tank tops forever, baby.

SPEAKER_03

Let's see if Malaysia brings out cheeky GJ.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

I'll see you. It's been a pleasure.

SPEAKER_01

Thank you so much for having me on.

SPEAKER_00

Bye. Bye.
