SPEAKER_00

This podcast was produced on the land of the Wurundjeri people of the Koolin Nation. Welcome to Australia. Someone who is such a connoisseur of reality television. The content is hideous.

SPEAKER_01

So sorry about this. Oh my god.

SPEAKER_00

Oh my god.

SPEAKER_01

Oh my god.

SPEAKER_00

Seymour. Hi. Any relation to my husband, Adam Seymour? No.

SPEAKER_01

Not that I know of.

SPEAKER_00

Are we related? Um no. Common surname.

SPEAKER_01

It is, yeah, it is. It is. Unfortunately. Makes me one with the people.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

It's a working class.

SPEAKER_00

You know, it's not a like a Vanderpump or anything. It's not. It's certainly not. No, that's that's cute. We love it. How are you doing? I'm great. How are you? So good. Welcome to the couch. Thank you. Welcome to my tiny dog who's already uh decided that you're the fave.

SPEAKER_01

I'm already completely distracted as well. I'll probably stop listening.

SPEAKER_00

It does happen. She does take a vote. Oh wow, she's really malting. That yes, that's right. You've chosen to wear black. So um I'm used to it. Great. Yeah. Yeah, we're gonna sit there, are we? Hi. Um so should we tell our origin story or what I remember of it?

SPEAKER_02

Go for it.

SPEAKER_00

So I think so. I recall being a drunk gate crasher.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

To was that your house?

SPEAKER_01

It wasn't my house.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, okay. To a house party that you were also at.

SPEAKER_01

Yes. So I picked you up.

SPEAKER_00

That's right.

SPEAKER_01

Um amongst a group of friends. Yep.

SPEAKER_00

A gaggle of gays? Yes, my gaggle of gays. Yeah, they were your gays. Um they were cute from what I remember.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, everyone was.

SPEAKER_00

But the vibes were, you guys were like drinking wine, sitting around, and we were like flying.

SPEAKER_01

I brought you in, knowing what vibe I was inflicting. Um like I said, wasn't my house. You invited the vampire into the I um I wanted an experience and I got I got what I asked for. So it was all worth it, and here we are. Oh, exactly. And then cut down.

SPEAKER_00

And all I vividly remember from the night was being in an Uber and we discovered that we both loved Housewives, and it was instant game on.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, and then you you well, I said, Do you watch reality TV? You said I have a podcast.

SPEAKER_00

Like, honey, I am reality too. It's perfect. Well, no, because it can go one of two ways, right? Like sometimes when you meet new people and they they will shut it down instantly. No, totally.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, and I probably won't talk to them. Yeah. Because it's usually an assumption that you're into that which makes you stupid or shy. 100%. I can be shallow and deep.

SPEAKER_00

You can more than one thing can exist.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, we contain multitudes.

SPEAKER_00

But there are definitely those people where straight away. And sometimes there's people that I'll be shocked by I have a friend who's really into Kath and Kim, like obsessed. And then one time and I think I just assumed by extension that they would fuck with like at least some housewives. Maybe like, you know, a Gina Leano moment or something. No, not into any of it.

SPEAKER_01

And and did the whole like, oh is it that like scripted content is perceived as like I mean, of course it is, it's perceived as higher-minded. But I mean if something with this much longevity and this much of a fan base has to be doing something right.

SPEAKER_00

Agree.

SPEAKER_01

It's a study of humanity. Yeah. I find it so compelling.

SPEAKER_00

Exactly.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Um now you've got shows coming up. I do. The understudy.

SPEAKER_01

Yes. So tell me all about it. The understudy is a one-woman show about my many experiences of being an understudy. Okay. Um, it's pretty silly. Yeah. Uh which is fun. Um, and I did it for Melbourne Fringe in 2025, and I'm about to take it to Adelaide. So I'm going to be doing two weeks in Adelaide and then a week for Melbourne Comedy Festival. So if you're around, come on down.

SPEAKER_00

Adelaide. Fringe is such a vibe.

SPEAKER_01

I'm so excited. First one. It's my first one. It's going to be so good. I'm really keen. I'm I'm keen to like hopefully get into the get into the swing of doing my own show so I can relax and go see some more shows. Otherwise, I'll just be a hot mess of stress.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Um Did you do Fringe Here last year?

SPEAKER_01

I did, yeah. Yeah, cool.

SPEAKER_00

That's a good like test place.

SPEAKER_01

Because I had no idea if this show was gonna be any good.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

So I had to do a hello. So the dog's licking me. Um I I had to do a little test and uh turned out it had it had some legs. Yeah. So it's like we're gonna take this onward. So yeah, that's that's my current current disposition.

SPEAKER_00

That sounds hilarious.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, it's good.

SPEAKER_00

How many times have you been in Under Study? That's actually a good question.

SPEAKER_01

Uh one, two, I think, look, it's been about four. Okay. Possibly more than I'm forgetting. But there's such um there's such like rich uh rich experiences that it feels like 30.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Um and once they know that you can do it, like people keep asking you to do it again.

SPEAKER_00

Uh they know that you are a patient saying.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, and you're able to learn things quickly, and you're able to, you know, take the back seat. And uh it can become a little bit of a I don't know, maybe this is my theory. I think it becomes like a little bit of a cul-de-sac. Like that's what you're known for.

SPEAKER_00

Always the bridesmaid.

SPEAKER_01

Exactly. Which is what the show's about. Oh, that sounds great. Yeah, it's a lot of fun. I've had a lot of people come who have done understudying who were like too real. Yeah, too much. But um, a lot of people who aren't you know in the industry or know about it were also riveted by the complexity of the world and the and the you know masochism of it, I suppose.

SPEAKER_00

They're starting to lean into the like alternate storylines on some reality shows at the moment. Do you have do you fuck with Survivor at all?

SPEAKER_01

I have a little bit, mostly the Australian one. Oh, awesome. Yeah when it's almost I'll watch it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You know, I do like the return performers, like the red like you know, obviously the redemption arc.

SPEAKER_00

Um the American one now, which has totally lost it, thanks to Jeff Probe's just being like an old man that needs to go to bed. That's a shame. But there's now every season they're like people's backstory is like I was an alternate on season 71, and I'm like, cool story. I don't care. Like, do you know what I mean? Yeah, and now I'm finally here, I'm like, oh, this is kind of approach.

SPEAKER_01

This is a bit of the problem with some reality TV now, right? Like, it's become its own vehicle for something, like it's become almost a career option, and there was, you know, obviously like a peak era in which people didn't really know how much it was gonna either fuck up their lives or like shift their trajectory. So you know, when people didn't have as much self-awareness, that's when it was like peak.

SPEAKER_00

That was when it was the best, and like pre like self-produced shows. Because like the I think the reason Housewives works is like Daddy Andy has these women in the palm of his hand, and he's literally like holding carrots by being like, you know, you want that snowflake, being on pause for how long? Whereas like the Kardashians, for example, they produce their own show. Yeah, who the fuck wants to see that where someone's like I need humiliation exactly I want the tapes to be released, please. Yeah, but I feel like the career thing, especially on like the competition shows, yeah, if you go into that being like, oh, I'm sick, quit my job, never going back there. I think that's a big mistake at this point because there are thousands of people on these shows.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, 100% all the time. People are doing it on Love is Blind as well, which is a weird one because it's not really a competition, but that's kind of what it becomes.

SPEAKER_00

You need to like seriously like assault someone or something to be memorable at this point. Like, do you know what I mean? Like, if you want to be remembered.

SPEAKER_01

No, truly, you have to be one of the 30,000 lawsuits going through. Yeah, yeah, it's a shame.

SPEAKER_00

Which, oh my god, Morocco um Ultimate Girls Trip still to this day breaks my heart.

SPEAKER_01

I think at some point, this is what I hope for, we'll see it.

SPEAKER_00

In like a hundred years.

SPEAKER_01

I think we will, because we have to wait. I think we've got to wait.

SPEAKER_00

When it becomes like public um domain.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, because they're gonna use the footage in the lawsuit. The lawsuit, right? Oh, are they going on?

SPEAKER_00

Is that gonna be a good one?

SPEAKER_01

I think that's what's gonna happen because if she's suing Bravo, she's you know, for I can't really remember the specifics of it, but I think because like they their defense is gonna be mounted upon what they can show. I mean, it's gonna be released. They'll be out there eventually. This is what I pray for. Do you listen to the Bravo Docket?

SPEAKER_00

Uh occasionally I love those who meant when there's a really juicy thing going on, like I I hopped in during like Scandal and a few other things, but I haven't I haven't been listening recently.

SPEAKER_01

But tell me what Well they they have great breakdowns of all of this. They did a great episode on the lawsuit around the Morocco Ultimate Girls Trip. And I mean, they still have faith that eventually we might see it. Okay, cool. So if the lawyers do, then I have to hold up faith as well.

SPEAKER_00

They are doing God's work, they really are. So if you haven't listened to this pod, it's basically yeah, two women that are actual practicing lawyers but love Bravo, and so they sort of like donate their time to like I don't know how they have time for it.

SPEAKER_01

It's amazing, it's a ritual. I know, it's amazing, and some of it is like really kind of dry legally, yeah. But the breakdown of like the real specifics of like people's divorces, love it.

SPEAKER_00

I know because you do, yeah, you feel like you're learning something about how the law system is, but also yeah, prenups more on the girlies, yeah. It's good. Um okay, should we start with the traders? You said you've you've tapped into the traders and this is the your first season of watching. Give me your like full virgin eyes take so far.

SPEAKER_01

So a friend of mine recommended to me that I need to watch The Traders that isn't famous people because those people really want the money.

SPEAKER_00

Your friend is correct.

SPEAKER_01

And I think I like in hindsight looking back, going, oh I kind of should have started there. But because it's coming out now, I was like, I want to get in on the hype while the hype's still around of this specific season. Virgin Eyes. You know what's so funny? I don't know, maybe this is a common experience, but watching the challenges, um just I completely gin out. I don't give a shit what's happening here.

SPEAKER_00

Also, there's where's the stakes? Like, sure, sometimes there's like shields, yeah, but like there needs to be more stakes.

SPEAKER_01

Also, like someone like um my god, my brain. Carolyn Stanbury, she doesn't need that money. Like what she just wanted to break from Dubai. She didn't want to get back on TV. Like her being there, I'm like, Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Well it was Chanel Ayan last season. Yeah, so they're literally just like, I think it's them being like, oh, sorry, sorry, your show got axed.

SPEAKER_01

Here's a breadcrumb. I mean, because Carolyn also was on um, you know, recent uh Real Housewives of London having her little came out. Did you watch that? That was good. I really loved it. God, they're rich. That insane momentum. So good. I know incredible. Incredible. But yes, traders. I I do find the psychology of people believing that their lives and their careers will mean that they are very good at a specific thing, which is spotting a trader. I find that delusion so funny. Like magic ears. Like, I've worked in chef, like worked with chefs my whole life, therefore I know how to spot a trader.

SPEAKER_00

Like, how does the translation of those specific jobs I think producers are driving that because in the civilian version of this show, they're even harder on that. Because they always pass like a detective and a clairvoy. Every season, without doubt, there's a detective and a clairvoyant. And they're always like as a clevo. And sometimes they keep it secret. Yeah, exactly. Because they can. Yeah. So they'll be like, what the people don't know is I'm actually, you know, like a retired FBI agent. And it's like, okay. And then they're always like so wrong.

SPEAKER_01

They're always so like actual No. Because we're all just as shit as each other at spotting when people are lying.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Like we don't know. And yeah, which is the brilliance of it. I do love that. I love the confidence that people have about trying to spot a traitor. I love how wrong they are. I'm frustrated that people like Colton is picking up on Lisa because Lisa's my girl. Like, can't at least her out too soon. Also, though, casting-wise, it makes so much sense to make her a traitor. Of course, she's a traitor.

SPEAKER_00

Also doing a terrible job. She's a soap actor. And she is soap acting. She's like, oh my God. She's like, what?

SPEAKER_01

I know. Even with all that Botox, she still manages to express clear line. It's such a talent. Also, her biggest scam has been that she claims to be an actor. Like, it's a scam. That's the biggest. And I love it for her. But I love Lisa. Like, I'm so happy to have it back on my screen.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, how good was iconic line, Renna, you bitch. That was like, I will forgive how cooked that show is for that moment. No, and that's what I come for. I'll put up with Alan Cummings' fucking like insane cockatoo looks for that moment.

SPEAKER_01

I have to say, I know he's Scottish, but why does he sound like he's doing a fake Scottish accent?

SPEAKER_00

Because he absolutely is. It's so calm the fuck down.

SPEAKER_01

It's I mean, easiest paycheck he's probably ever made.

SPEAKER_00

And it's people around him being like, yes. Yes. Do yet more. Different hair. Like, yeah. Different hair. Different hair. This time we'll just smear a bit of gold on you. The wardrobe department for Alan needs to be put in jail.

SPEAKER_01

It's actually interesting what uh yeah, what is deemed appropriate and fashion. Do you know what I mean? Like even the contestants as well. Like some of the shit.

SPEAKER_00

Colton and those pearls. How can you take like a very attractive man and just make him look like a fucking loser?

SPEAKER_01

One thing I think is, I mean, the job of a stylist is a scam job. Because I could come out with as much confidence as as any of these people and decide, I'm telling you this is fashion, I'm telling you this looks good on you. And any Joe Blow who has money can be like, yeah, I trust you. They can put these people in anything.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

It's amazing. It's a great job. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I'm seeing it. It's perfect. It's amazing. You're just gassing people up.

SPEAKER_00

Did you watch I Love LA?

SPEAKER_01

I didn't.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, it's actually if you yeah, it's very everything you just said, like put that in a show. Okay. They're not like stylists per se. I think like one of the characters is, but they are just kind of like LA hanger-on around. Yeah. PR. They're fake jobs. And they are they are all fake jobs. And it's they really just like spotlight that. And it's amazing.

SPEAKER_01

And there's a whole city built on it, LA. I mean, like, that's a whole industry of people with fake jobs. Yeah. It's so impressive. Exactly.

SPEAKER_00

So who else is? We've got Candice, Dillard Bassett. Love. Who is just great to have her back. Don't need her back on Potomac because I don't know. I mean Or you would have her back.

SPEAKER_01

Only because I think Potomac is a bit flagging. It's nearly in the bin. I'm not loving. I just find Giselle and Ashley and their hazing to be so absorbed.

SPEAKER_00

So I could watch Giselle haze and and and I could just watch a whole show of Giselle going on other people's trips and telling them how they got it wrong. I literally rent-free.

SPEAKER_01

No, you're probably right. But I'm not. But you know what it is? It's the it's the team. It's the double up. It's them tag teaming each other to like just reinforce what the other's saying. I find Giselle very funny. And every season I'm like, why don't I like you? I love you. And then I remember. I'm like, because you're not.

SPEAKER_00

She's just cutting, she's the most cutting ever. But it's so smart.

SPEAKER_01

I know. It is. It is.

SPEAKER_00

And I'm And Ashley Derby, I just, I'm sorry, I I love Ashley Darby. Oh no, we're gonna disagree. No, like, even like she she is just like the silliest little baby. She is. And she makes the worst like. She is just so innocent. There's something I find frustrating about.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, I disagree.

SPEAKER_00

I think she's genuinely just so silly. Yes, she plays it up.

SPEAKER_01

Oh my god, I disagree. I think she is malicious.

SPEAKER_00

Go on.

SPEAKER_01

I think that she can she's puts her nose in everything. She's like deliberately. I know. But like the the stakes on that show are so low. They are low. I mean, telling someone that they use too much Face Tune is so low.

SPEAKER_00

The catfish.

SPEAKER_01

No, I love that story. Ike was so stupid.

SPEAKER_00

See, that for me is Potomac in a nutshell. And so many people don't watch it. Yeah. And I try to explain to them, I'm like, it's the only one where like you actually like I don't know about you, but I would actually hang out with those. No, 100%. I think they're actually like.

SPEAKER_01

They're deeply funny, they're deeply smart. Yeah. They're not amazing.

SPEAKER_00

Like, I don't want to fucking hang out with Gathering Hilton.

SPEAKER_01

God no.

SPEAKER_00

But I would love to 100% corona with Ashley Darwin. No, I would have a lot of fun.

SPEAKER_01

I I know, I totally know what you mean.

SPEAKER_00

But I know, no, she is, she's kind of they're all conniving. 100%. And they're all petty.

SPEAKER_01

I don't love the hate on Stacy. Like, I don't get it.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, the fans. No, the fans love Stacey.

SPEAKER_01

Stacey is breakouts. No, she's incredible. And like how did they even find? She's brilliant. But the way that Ashley like hats on Stacy is just. It's amazing. You can't write this shit.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

And I I did find that that the the angel like rage during the trip, like, yes, you're in shit accommodation, blah, blah, blah. But they're yelling on the plane.

SPEAKER_00

I started to feel bad for Angel again, but at the same time, I'm not sure. She's already dead. You did this to yourself. I kind of hope for her sake she's not back.

SPEAKER_01

No, 100%. She's definitely. There's some people who are not built for reality TV. Tia? I'm one of them. I love Tia.

SPEAKER_00

But would do you think Tia will be back though?

SPEAKER_01

I think so. Okay. I think so.

SPEAKER_00

Do you know what I'll miss about Angel Talk?

SPEAKER_01

She'll need a storyline though.

SPEAKER_00

Bobby.

SPEAKER_01

Oh yeah.

SPEAKER_00

That man is criminally sexy.

SPEAKER_01

He's really.

SPEAKER_00

Every time he's on screen, I'm just like, what?

SPEAKER_01

I know it's crazy.

SPEAKER_00

I feel like that's the only reason they cast her.

SPEAKER_01

Then they're all jealous.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, yeah. That's why they're heading on. Him and Kiana's brother. Who they also just wheel out every now and then, like.

SPEAKER_01

Oh my god, I don't even remember him. I must have zoned out.

SPEAKER_00

Insanely like ripped.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Um, yeah, that show, I know what you mean. I don't think it's in the bin. I think it's always been a coaster. But you just have to like strap yourself in. Plus, we're getting Karen back.

SPEAKER_01

We are getting Karen back, and Wendy's about to go to jail.

SPEAKER_00

So can I just Wendy had her best season ever this season? She was so she was like, And Your Honor, she looks so good. Her mum being like, shut the fuck up with you.

SPEAKER_01

I know, I know. And they definitely went back and re-edited some of it to make it look like she was spending more money. Like they really did that to her.

SPEAKER_00

Like, let's renovate the kitchen. Don't even show me the invoice. I was like, Oh no, I don't know.

SPEAKER_01

My pin to one of my 30 credit cards.

SPEAKER_00

Because there's so many and they're all under different names. Yeah. But this is what I love about the show. It's just like everyone, yeah, everyone is involved in mild scandal at all times.

SPEAKER_01

No, it's true. And and no, I do love Potomac. I just found, I just found like the hating on Angel a bit exhausting. She won't be back and she's not right for the show.

SPEAKER_00

The four seasons was a great way to end the season. I was like, No.

SPEAKER_01

Okay. Thoughts on ending on a cast trip?

SPEAKER_00

They were doing it across the board. Not into it. I mean, obviously, we've got next week with the sit-down with Karen. I hate how they kind of fed that to us like we were gonna get that at the end of the episode and then not to be seen.

SPEAKER_01

I know.

SPEAKER_00

Um, did you miss Mia at all not being there? No. I don't think I did either. I think this the bipolar stuff with her husband was too dark.

unknown

Oh I know.

SPEAKER_01

And that was becoming a little bit producer-y in the way that she kind of navigated her storylines. And it just felt, I mean, and the the paternity of the kid, it was just like I don't want to see this on Twitter. I don't want it on screen.

SPEAKER_00

I mean, I love Mia's absolute messiness and just like delusion. Her walking through and being like, like loved.

SPEAKER_01

She looked so good when she was arrested. Did you see that footage? Like amazing.

SPEAKER_00

Speaking of Karen Huger's release from jail look.

SPEAKER_01

I love the scarf.

SPEAKER_00

The scarf, the head, the shoes. I was like, wow.

SPEAKER_01

I know. I'm always thinking, I mean, obviously, shows what I know. I'm like, are they getting filler in there? Are they getting like I they do? Surely. Oh yeah, I didn't know that. Jensha?

SPEAKER_00

She is still.

SPEAKER_01

She is looking the same and working out.

SPEAKER_00

That's she's out when?

SPEAKER_01

She's out, but she's in like a she's in a facility in which she's still on like, you know, watch.

SPEAKER_00

She can't have access to the internet. Thank God, no. For a little while longer. And she's not gonna have access to our company. But I hate that Andy's already said she's got no place.

SPEAKER_01

Would you want her back? Absol fucking love. You would yeah. Oh my god, I want to be back.

SPEAKER_00

I want Relative Ontes back.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, same.

SPEAKER_00

Actually, but that was kind of done, and the girls wouldn't handle it.

SPEAKER_01

No. I just think the Genshar situation is so dark. And I felt I mean, there's already so much complexity and brilliance in that show. Having her back just having meltdowns and screaming at everyone all the time. It just kind of, you know, I start tuning out. Yeah. If I can't hear what you're saying, I'm just gonna like just go back to my game on my phone and stop listening.

SPEAKER_00

But Candace, good choice for Trader. Yes. Even though she liked that fucking congol, I think, genius on that show. Wouldn't you wouldn't last a second if you did that on any other version of the show. Everyone would be like, Trader. I know. But um I love that she's back on, and then we've got Monique back on, which I'm so for that. I feel like with her I feel like make her main cast next year.

SPEAKER_01

What so was she on she's obviously been on previous ones?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, oh so you didn't watch when she was on. Okay, okay. So the whole thing was you couldn't have Candace and Monique because they had a physical altercation. Monique, I thought. Oh my god, my brain just went somewhere.

SPEAKER_01

You know what my brain just did? Monet Exchange. Monique. Yes, no, you couldn't.

SPEAKER_00

You couldn't have them both on.

SPEAKER_01

No, I know.

SPEAKER_00

So that's why I was like I do love Monique.

SPEAKER_01

I've always loved her. And I love Candace too. It's unfortunate that.

SPEAKER_00

She loves a prop moment though. Yeah. A little bit too much, like in this season with the whole, what did she even do? Write down your feelings in a manila fold or whatever.

SPEAKER_01

I was like, but it's so deliberately shady. Like it was, it's a good setup.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

And I do love her projecting her relationship onto angels the entire time. Just being like, This is what I experienced, therefore that's what you're experiencing.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, and Angel's being like, Oh, that's not my thing.

SPEAKER_01

It's a really stupid thing to do, but I'm obsessed with it.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, but it's I don't know. Maybe they will lean back into a Candace. I don't know. I just find she. Would she shoot with her though? I don't think she would. Surely not. No. I just feel like we got enough out of Candace. Yeah. I think so too. That was a great storyline.

SPEAKER_01

Great while it lasted.

SPEAKER_00

Kind of doesn't have to be.

SPEAKER_01

You're right though. We are stacked like next season. We already picked up cameras again once because.

SPEAKER_00

As soon as Wendy shit, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

So we're gonna actually have some stuff.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, we'll be we'll be fed.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, we don't need Ashley's Ashley's silliness.

SPEAKER_00

How about some of these randos on The Traders? Well, randos to us.

SPEAKER_01

I literally watch these people and I'm like, I still don't know who you are. It's like a blank space. It sounds terrible, but big they're like NPCs. Totally.

SPEAKER_00

I'm just not conscious. Yeah, zoom in. Um, what about the hot snake handler though? Rob Roche, are you getting much out of him and his overalls?

SPEAKER_01

I like really try not to be swooned by anyone. Yeah. Like, I don't find myself like I'm like all men of trash. I agree.

SPEAKER_00

And surely he's gotta be. Like, wasn't he on Love Island? He looks like that. Surely he'll be trash.

SPEAKER_01

Of course he's trash, but I look at him like that.

SPEAKER_00

I think people dislike him because he's so hot.

SPEAKER_01

He's so hot, he's so annoying.

SPEAKER_00

And as far as we know currently, he's not trash.

SPEAKER_01

He's not trash. I don't know.

SPEAKER_00

I've watched below deck to know that he will be at some point.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, no, of course. But he's a good trader.

SPEAKER_00

Great trader, because everyone wants to fuck him.

SPEAKER_01

And he has no facial expressions. I thought that's that's it's really interesting.

SPEAKER_00

He's done a great job. I feel like out of the three, he'll get to the end.

SPEAKER_01

But you already turned Lisa in, so yeah, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Um we said RIP to Marco Rapport, which was fucking fantastic.

SPEAKER_01

I do not need to hear that man's voice ever in my life. No, ever.

SPEAKER_02

No.

SPEAKER_01

Stop making him relevant. I know it's something to do with him loving housewives. I love housewives. I don't need you in my face talking about it. God, he's annoying.

SPEAKER_00

It did feel a bit like that time when they put Pauline Hansen on Dancing with the Stars. Seriously. You're just like really like, sure, we're all gonna tune in because we're like massacres.

SPEAKER_01

Like Or like Lisa Oldfield on first season of Sydney. Oh, diabolical.

SPEAKER_00

Calling her kids dickheads.

SPEAKER_01

God. What are you doing, you little dickheads? That was good shit. That was fucked. That was top here shit.

SPEAKER_00

There's a lot of those season one girlies we need more.

SPEAKER_01

100%.

SPEAKER_00

Athena X.

SPEAKER_01

I don't know why they cancelled it. If that show was in America, they would be like renew for a seventh season by now.

SPEAKER_00

Apparently they showed it to America, and America was like, ooh, too mean.

SPEAKER_01

It's their accents. It's the accents. If they had an accents, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

God, it was good. That season was unbelievable. Incredible. Because did you watch the most recent two with whatever? Two was like, okay. I was into it. We're getting somewhere. And then three, unfortunately, too much of it was like redacted.

SPEAKER_01

They also just won't film together anymore. Like, I don't need to see these women not going on trips together. I duh. I want to see you get in the ring with each other. I want Lisa Oldfield getting in the ring with these idiots. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. It's a shame. When when it gets to a place of like people won't talk about stuff on camera or refuse to film stuff, it's like, no, you've you've done you've cast it wrong.

SPEAKER_01

Which is essentially what Beverly Hills has become.

SPEAKER_00

It's been that for years. It's boring. It is so so boring. It's a shame. Um, can we talk about Rachel Zoe? What a flop. Oh, you reckon? I think so. We'll see. I like the people in her orbit that they're bringing on.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And what that brings. But I think her it's a sure. It's funny. I I've had a few kicks out of her just being like, I die.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Yeah, literally.

SPEAKER_00

Sure.

SPEAKER_01

And I love her fashion reads on everyone. I love that she's rich. I love that she's really rich.

SPEAKER_00

Too much of the kid. Don't care about your kid. Her little adult. I don't know. She's she's kind of pouring me to tears.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, but they all do.

SPEAKER_00

I know.

SPEAKER_01

I don't think any of them will let actual drama from their lives on camera. Like that is just the modus operandi.

SPEAKER_00

Well, at least you've got delusional queen Amanda there.

SPEAKER_01

And I am so happy that we have a grifter. We need a grifter. We need a grifter. We need someone running an MLM. Yeah. No, she then she's doing it for what it can bring to her quote unquote business.

SPEAKER_00

Which is the business which is just taking people's money. Literally.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Like, oh god. I love that. Actually, Bravo Docket just recently did an episode on her. She does.

SPEAKER_00

We'll be touching down on that.

SPEAKER_01

And it's about the potential for lawsuits. She they they have like a a note at the start of the episode saying that after they'd recorded a lot of other lawsuits have come out in terms of her sending cease and desists to people about talking about her. So you know, I did just call her a grifter, but it's great. Well, yeah, where there's smoke, there's fire.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, she is great casting. Because it's like, yeah, we need more of that. Yeah. Yeah, less like people that just want to, I don't know, I love that she's hair staff as well.

SPEAKER_01

Which she is doing, but she's doing it in a way where she's rubbing everyone up the wrong way because she feels like she has something to prove, but she's also probably like pretty narcissistic. I mean, they all pretty are narcissistic.

SPEAKER_00

But I love how much secret that we can all already see. I know it's so exciting. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

So yeah, I'm excited to see where that goes. I love how they are slowly realizing that she's shit. But it took them way too long.

SPEAKER_00

Surely. And then I'm sorry, but we should have said goodbye, Kyle, some time ago. Because I actually don't think I can take another season of Carl.

SPEAKER_01

I tell you what, her portraying Jennifer Tilly in such in such a blatant way made me so angry.

SPEAKER_00

Jennifer Tilly's carrying the show.

SPEAKER_01

She is she is a sacred human being. I want her life. I want like she is perfect. Oh, this vintage do you it's insane. Like everything about her is like what we crave to see. Then like aren't just just like the the machinations of her coming out of being yelled at by a friend in tears, like confiding in Kyle and a sense of frustration, and Kyle immediately taking it back to Sutton. Like, I know that's the show, but there's something so cruel about that behaviour that I don't want to see.

SPEAKER_00

But also, it's such glass house stuff and it's such like hypocrite stuff from Kyle. Because anyone you can't even uh like after her for years shoving in our faces, her like holding hands and making out with this country singer chick, you can't even like insinuate for one second that she would even consider dabbling in the lady pond without her being so offended and like it's her right. Oh, the queer baiting is like beyond.

SPEAKER_01

Also, did you see talking about a crossover the feedback from Kyle of Mauricio's recent uh the Kimasabi feature?

SPEAKER_00

The Kimasabe feature.

SPEAKER_01

So apparently she's come out here and said all this stuff about Ashley, like how inappropriate it was that she was flirting and stuff.

SPEAKER_00

I'm glad that's happened because when I saw Ashley and Stacy doing that, I was like, I was like, my girls.

SPEAKER_01

But it's crazy how Mauricio gets no like Kyle is so focused on hating any woman that comes in his orbit. But like, he's the guy that put a mic on and got on the show. He knows exactly what he's doing.

SPEAKER_00

Exactly. But also, like those girls are having fun. Something you could try to fucking do, Kyle. Oh, like come on, of course you're gonna do that. They've they've clearly put in there to be like, oh, he's single now, he's hot. Um, you know, blah blah blah, off you go. And then yeah, then those two just like following him around was amazing.

SPEAKER_01

I know. It was fun. I don't like Mauricio, but I also just like I mean, that's that's the bit.

SPEAKER_00

The whole Colorado trip though, like I think they were only there for like three or four days. Yeah, it was actually. It honestly sounds so much nightmare.

SPEAKER_01

They did it so badly. Can you imagine spending that much time in a car with cameras with people that you don't really like that much? You'd just be wanting a drink so badly.

SPEAKER_00

You just be like, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, so bad.

SPEAKER_00

Sorry, Angel.

SPEAKER_01

I can't get over her teeth. That's a red like, is it like a flipper? Like, what's going on? There's a real list thing going on. But yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Choices choices were made. Um, what about Salt Lake? Because I've got to say, the way you feel about Potomac, I'm kind of starting to feel that's like, well, only like it's the best one, it's it's it's it's in its own tier. Yeah, it's an A24 film. You gotta keep that up. It is an A24 film, but like, you gotta keep that up. And I'm sorry, this season, most recent season started incredible, and then I gotta say, by the end, wasn't that good? And again, ending on a cast trip, which they milked.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I agree. What I I mean, the problem with some of it, I mean, you know, it is at the risk of becoming too overly produced. I agree. Because it is so good, and and we're getting into like the making everything a bit quirky territory.

SPEAKER_02

Yep, yep.

SPEAKER_01

But the arguments around Meredith, it's tricky for me. I mean, I I I know that they're probably bringing it up now because Whitney has finally decided to, but my god, that woman has been that way since state dot. Why are we now talking about it?

SPEAKER_00

World's biggest Meredith Marx apologist. Like, I'm obsessed with Meredith Marks.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, look, I'm obsessed with her in the way that I'm obsessed with like you know, something pretty that I look at. I mean, I find her entertaining to a point. I love the meltdowns. I love the meltdowns. I live for the one-liners. I do think she probably is some sort of alleged pill popper.

SPEAKER_00

As someone that occasionally takes us out accent accidentally drinks a bit. I see you, girl.

SPEAKER_01

But it's the, you know, the way that it the the the her response to all of it. Yeah. I mean, how else is she gonna respond? That's Meredith Marks. I do think the pylon isn't getting us anywhere, so we should probably retract a little bit. But I love Bronwyn versus Meredith. Yes. I love it.

SPEAKER_00

That's right. But also it's another release the tape situation because we don't have the footage of the plan, which nobody was very upset about. It is upsetting. It is upsetting um because I would love to see her just like fully like raging at polluting.

SPEAKER_01

Let us see. And this is the problem as well. I mean, I've always liked Heather, and I don't I can't jump on the Heather hate wagon. I just can't. But it's true she's filmed. Do we have a little break though? Filming of Lisa losing the ring, and then now she's like, I can't film. There are a lot of inconsistencies in what she claims to be her rule book. And that is the thing.

SPEAKER_00

Is what did I say that? Did I say I fucked Captain J's? I know. Come on. And then like the black eye, I still haven't forgiven it for black eye. I know and hated that. She's protecting Gen Char still.

SPEAKER_01

I know. I agree. What are you doing? I know. It is exhausting. It's a bit of whiplash.

SPEAKER_00

I think we need to demote her just for one or two seasons to like make her work for her. But we don't because they're all perfect.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, they are.

SPEAKER_00

Um I just love them all so much.

SPEAKER_01

Thoughts on Mary. Have you seen the the I did watch?

SPEAKER_00

You watched? I watched the if you could call it a documentary. I know. So bad. It was TLC's pathetic attempt at like what half of the people that interviewed were just like as as qualified as we are, right? They literally were just like podcasters being like. Literally. We watch this show, and it's like people who watch this show, like us, are just morons that want to laugh at these people. Like there's no just people deep in Reddit.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, no, no authority.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, and Reddit. They like had like tweets and and Reddit threads and stuff like quoted as evidence. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And I getting the sister was pretty good though. I think they should have just led with that.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, and I also think the claims of I mean, to my expert opinion, I think the claims of cult sort of devalue what the actual issue looks like to me.

SPEAKER_00

She's a cunt.

SPEAKER_01

She's absolutely stealing people's money. 100%. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

But they are willingly giving it up because of the guilt of religion. I don't know. I s I literally see all organized religion in this exact same way. So totally. When they're trying to like shock you with it, I'm like, cool. Tell me something I didn't know. No, no. They all do it in some way.

SPEAKER_01

There is something particularly like, I mean, devious around a lot of American churches. And it's very different. We have a very different society, obviously. But like the way that anyone can start a church and then ask for tithing and then just become exorbitantly wealthy. Like it is such a thing there. Yeah, totally. But they're just doing the thing that their system has set them up to do.

SPEAKER_00

Exactly. And let's be real, TLC are just cashing in on not just the true crime documentary boom, but also the Mormons in Utah interest at the moment. Um, do you fuck with the Mormon wives?

SPEAKER_01

I haven't seen it.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, okay, okay. But I need to say it is a very Hulu do things very differently. It's not it's it's not familiar. You don't feel like you're watching a Bravo show, but I kind of love that about it. And I've really lent in. They also pump it out. So like season three just finished and four is out in like a few months.

SPEAKER_01

They know how short our attention is.

SPEAKER_00

They know how short, and also they just they there's no cameras down. They are constantly filming. The last season, half of the season takes place on the press tour for the following season. That's bizarre. So the previous season. God, they're really just going for it. So like they're in makeup having fights with each other to then go and do like TV appearances.

SPEAKER_01

It does also just make it like you'd be so used to the cameras that you would be like off your guard. Yeah. You wouldn't be thinking, okay, now I'm filming. Like you would just be living your life.

SPEAKER_00

And then they're trying to make like Marciano from the Vanderpump show, which so Lisa Vanderpump somehow is allowed to have shows on both themselves. I'm like, well done to your contract. Right, the rich stay rich. Exactly. Um, and they're trying to make him happen, and it's like, oh, because he like allegedly like fucked one of the wives.

SPEAKER_01

And I have seen some of the drama like from the outside. Obviously, I don't know who anyone is, so I'm just sort of like, okay, there's something I'm saying.

SPEAKER_00

I don't know who they are. They all look the same.

SPEAKER_01

They look the same.

SPEAKER_00

But yeah, it's fine. But TLC are cashing in on that for sure. Yeah. And that documentary was I'm not gonna lie, like it was a struggle. It was.

SPEAKER_01

I stu well. I started watching it, I got three episodes in, and as soon as it was three. Oh I guess I finished it. Thank God.

SPEAKER_00

No, but I was like, could have been one. 100%. Like every documentary.

SPEAKER_01

Also, just as soon as it went down the road of like Mary seduced her stepgrandfather, she's a vixen. As soon as it went there, I was like, okay, any credibility is all out the window now. Like, fuck me.

SPEAKER_00

But again, like it was just the too long didn't read was she's a cunt. We already knew that. Yeah. Have you watched the other show? And religion is fucked. And like it's kind of, I don't know, I'm kind of like fair game to you if you want to exploit that. Everyone else is.

SPEAKER_01

We could all see what she did with the money for the renovation as soon as they opened that church up again, because that church looked no different. Okay. It's like, of course, she's opening it up after two years, going, here we go. Look how special it is. She's got a whole new wardrobe of like Louis Vuitton and Dior. That's where the money's going. It's so obvious. There's no secret here.

SPEAKER_00

But fuck Americans will just speak confidently about anything. I know the K podcaster they were just like, Do you want to come on a documentary and talk about Mary Cosby? He's like, absolutely, I'm an expert. No, it's amazing. You watch the show.

SPEAKER_01

They're so culturally self-assured. I mean, I'm envious of it.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Totally, totally. And then, I don't know, Angie Kay. Are you a fan? I love Angie. Obsessed. I love her. Um, I did. I feel like this season though, like we got we got um I do franchise, you do french fries, which we did. A great line.

SPEAKER_01

And the pull, I will I will pull. What did she say? I'll what did she say? Saying something about Lisa's appearance and saying I'll pull it further back than those those threads.

SPEAKER_00

I wish I couldn't say it but she's always got a good thing. She's so cool under pressure.

SPEAKER_01

Like she just says this stuff, yeah, like so at the ready, but it doesn't look rehearsed. It's so impressive.

SPEAKER_00

She does a great job. Love them in Greece as well. But I did just kind of, yeah, the the little play at the end, I was like, okay, guys, we don't, we don't need that.

SPEAKER_01

They are all gluttons for punishment though. Like they will all sit and like I mean, the game of like read out the worst thing anyone's ever said. They sit there and they cop it. Like they are way tougher than me.

SPEAKER_00

And that's why Bromwin is perfect casting because she's the queen of just like she'll sit there. Like her first season, they were like, What'd they say? She's dressed as a hot dog to remind us, oh, she sucked away at the top. Like, she just sat there and took that. And I'm like, welcome on board. No, incredible. You need to be that thick skinned to be on this show.

SPEAKER_01

That's why Angel will not last.

SPEAKER_00

No.

SPEAKER_01

Like, you know, you that's why I could never do it. I'm too sensitive. Oh my god, I couldn't do it at all.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

No Bromwin has been a great addition. Agreed. And that love that she's as we knew she was going to divorce.

SPEAKER_01

I hope that's stinks. I mean, like planned to do it. Right? She had to have she had to have put herself on television, get herself a steady and five.

SPEAKER_00

I reckon it's like, I'll get the fan base, get eyes on me, and then see ya.

SPEAKER_01

There's something very protective about the housewives, I think, as a franchise. I mean, yes, it's exploitative, etc. etc. But there's something protective about women's marriages being like shown for how terrible they are, so they can see it and the world can see it, so they can kind of have the mirror held up. I mean, like Shannon Bador, like would she have gotten out of that marriage? Yes. If like do you know what I mean?

SPEAKER_00

No, you're so right. And that's real sad that that has to be the ways that that happens because it's something.

SPEAKER_01

You're also I know of course not, but like I'm just so relieved when I see them leave because they are getting this feedback from people.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, it's a um it's a women's help program in the show. What I'm worried about with Sol Lake is that like with this reunion that's finishing tonight, like it's too meta now, in a way. Like there's two, they they're they're recycling their own lines, they're trademarking their lines, yeah, they're referring to themselves. Brittany's trademarking their lines. They're just getting like Charlie XEX just met Meredith Marks and was like, she was the one that was dangry. I was like, okay. I know. Which I that feels correct and I love it. I know. But I'm worried that's gonna get too big and it'll ruin, and it's my favourite thing.

SPEAKER_01

And it's hard because I mean I think all like you know, nothing gold can stay. These these shows do eventually sort of degrade. And it's possible that we're going to have to say goodbye to it at some point, say goodbye to its purity.

SPEAKER_00

And that's why I'd rather have a year off, put some people on the bench, like do things like that rather than just like pushing like plowing, yeah, Hulu style.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I know. I mean, yeah, thus far I love. I I I do find, and I'm I'm starting to get sick of what's it? It's Brittany, right? I'm thinking.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, oh my god. See, I fucking can't stand Brittany.

SPEAKER_01

No, neither can I get it. But it's kind of the the there's something that she provides, which is the punching bag, but also that is becoming a little bit like too mean. Yeah, you know, like she seems to love it.

SPEAKER_00

Didn't even Andy say something in the ring She's unfortunately a victory. She's so happy to be here, and Andy goes, We know you are. I was like, Yeah. I know, I know.

SPEAKER_01

She's but she's an easy target. That's the problem.

SPEAKER_00

I liked the last season when she was like recording them in Marisol.

SPEAKER_01

No, that was amazing. That was amazing. The part of them and that I was like brilliant. But like when she's in Greece and she's like throwing water on them and like you've ruined her hair, and like although the whispered ASMR argument was I could fall asleep to that.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, on that on that below deck trip, they really pushed a bit throwing her stuff a bit. Which look, that was all stage, let's be honest. But still, yeah, the water on it.

SPEAKER_01

Alright, Matt, maybe now it's like, all right, look, can we can we just back off a little bit?

SPEAKER_00

Scott's fans though. Like she does because she's like a musical theater girl. She can sing. I'm like, I'm not into that, so I'm like, whatever. But I have some friends that are just like love her annoying videos of her like walking around airports singing.

SPEAKER_01

I know it's the quirky girl thing, which I don't like.

SPEAKER_00

But yeah, I think perfect to have her where she is. She's not maintained. No, she's not. And she can never be. No. Like it has to always be aspirated. Absolutely.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, you cannot you cannot give her more than what she deserves, otherwise she will yeah. I mean, she's already too big for her boots in some respects. So we have to we have to keep her in that place.

SPEAKER_00

Oh yeah, she needs to be kept.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. But honestly, that is one area where I'm like, thank God for Heather, because she does need a defender. And like Heather brought her on. Because otherwise it would just be relentless. It kind of is sometimes.

SPEAKER_00

Oh my god, I just had a flashback to that like fucking fathing founding fathers reenactment. Like that was that this season?

SPEAKER_01

That was this season, and may I say Bronwyn's dress? I need it. Yeah, oh yeah. That was the coolest thing I've ever seen. She looked so good.

SPEAKER_00

It's either a hit or a miss with her kind of kooky statement pieces. Some of them I'm like, no, girl. I love it.

SPEAKER_01

When her first intro look, she was in a bikini in Salt Lake City in like the middle of hot. In the middle of winter. I was like, okay.

SPEAKER_00

Also keeping my mum away from the cameras. I normally I love like a dark family story, but that mum is actually like.

SPEAKER_01

Have you seen that video? That that um that reel of the like the the Mrs. Doubtfire theory that Muzzy and Todd of the Several. Let's talk. Let's talk. I mean, yeah. With throwing the eyebrows on. That's incredible.

SPEAKER_00

Oh my god. Um to tie it back to the traders, because of course that's what we've been talking about this whole time. Um what do you think's gonna happen? Who are you rooting for?

SPEAKER_01

I don't know. I mean, I have a feeling Lisa's gonna be honest, or I'm pretty sure.

SPEAKER_00

Do you think people will actually listen to Colton though? Because I feel like he's kind of annoying.

SPEAKER_01

I think people are listening to him because he's taking the lead. But I think he'll pr it'll probably be his undoing. Um, who do I think will win? I have no idea. Possibly Rob, but then I don't know. I mean, I don't like this is my first watching, so I don't know patterns. I don't know how how who is usually successful in these areas. Like, what's your theory?

SPEAKER_00

I mean, with this version of the show with the celebs, it kind of depends on who's on it. Because they actually do, and this is why I hate it, they do all these like maths with like, well, there's gotta be one trader that's from Survivor or whatever. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, that's not yeah, that's not interesting for us to watch.

SPEAKER_01

And especially if because it, you know, you bring all these legions of fans, right? Like you've got all of the bachelor people, and you've got the housewives fans, and you've got the game players and whatnot.

SPEAKER_00

And it's all personality driven, and it's all they're all just grandstanding, yeah. And they come out and they go, I'm this, and and do you know what I love like from these last few apps as well, is so many of them keep saying things like, Well, you can't trust anyone, which is correct. But then they add, oh, except and then they name like their friends, like Johnny Weir was like, You can't trust anyone except Tara Lipinski because they're friends, and I'm like, No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, yeah, no, like you're totally missing the point, yeah. Or like Natalie being like, Oh, you know, the survivor people, or yeah, Rina being housewife loyal and everything. I'm like, you guys, like, you realize that's not that's not the point of the show.

SPEAKER_01

But also, like, I mean, the the thing with the celebrity thing is like there would be obvious choices for traders, like Lisa. Rina is so why would they cast, I'm sorry, but like a figure skater as a trader? Like, obviously, they're not a trader. Do you know what I mean? Like, it's got it, they're making casting for it.

SPEAKER_00

The biggest pop star, literally star in the world.

SPEAKER_01

With the most terrifying fans. Like, you're not gonna murder her as a as a faithful.

SPEAKER_00

No, yeah, like that was too obvious. And again, because I don't know if you know this, but they film it back to back with the UK one. So the UK one that just finished had all the same twists pretty much, all the same challenges, but it was with regular people. Yeah, great. And it was a triumph. Oh my god, because the show is like all about the strategy and the game, and it's all about those tensions, and people get really like emotionally invested in these people that they've built these bonds with. So good. But that doesn't happen on this US One because all of these celebs like either know there's preconceived ideas or they straight up know each other. Yeah, totally.

SPEAKER_01

You can't play a murder mystery game with people you know, no, and people you trust.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, it just clouds it, and then that's how they play, and then it's just not fun. So yeah, I think they'll just be further grandstanding. I think all of the kind of targets will get just taken out. I reckon they'll get Rina. Yeah, maybe Candace at some point. I think Rob's doing it.

SPEAKER_01

I think he's doing really well.

SPEAKER_00

Right. He would have to actually slip up at some point.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, which I don't think he will. I think he's very contained.

SPEAKER_00

And then who are they gonna recruit? Surely they'll have to recruit someone at some point.

SPEAKER_01

Is that something that happens?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, if like there's not enough traders, they have to pick one. Who would it be? Who would you make a trader?

SPEAKER_01

Who is there left?

SPEAKER_00

Fuck, there's so many people, but there's also There are people that I don't know. Do you know who I love is that Irish girl Mora from Lowell. She's serving some loops.

SPEAKER_01

Her hair to me is like, I'm endlessly fascinated by it. I'm like, is it a wig?

SPEAKER_00

When it's like put the nice fringes, fringy.

SPEAKER_01

The fringe is incredible. I was like, whoa, okay, that's a different person. And that takes time and effort, and I respect it. Yeah. Do they all sleep in that castle or is that pretending they don't even pretend anymore.

SPEAKER_00

I think they show them getting into their cars.

SPEAKER_01

Off they go, back to the hotels. Because they would all have their teams with them, right? Hair and makeup?

SPEAKER_02

Glam. I've got glam and manica.

SPEAKER_01

We get the glam. I do love Lisa. Like, she does, she's she's so comfortable with her sparse, her sparse looks sometimes because it makes her more vulnerable. She knows how to, she knows how to work us.

SPEAKER_00

The way she responded to the questions about the eye. It's I died. It's it's literally. We tried something, it didn't land. I was like, shut the fuck up, that's why. I'm obsessed. I know, I love her so much. We were watching it the other day. Um, my partner turned to me and was like, She's Donald Trump. Like, no, like she literally like she speaks in the same way as Donald Trump does, and with the same conviction.

SPEAKER_01

And it's the authority while saying nothing. And you know what? That's how it is.

SPEAKER_00

And the nonverbally, she'll be like, Yeah, yeah. I'm the best. We've got business uh, I've got the Oh no, I'm talking about Lisa Barlow. This whole time.

SPEAKER_01

I'm just talking about a completely different person. I'm talking about all Americans are like that.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

You know when she's like No, she is God everything. Oh my god, you're right. Blah blah blah. No, you're right.

SPEAKER_00

It's like female Trump.

SPEAKER_01

No, it is, because she's New York DNA. But not uh God, I can't believe I thought Lisa Runa was like.

SPEAKER_00

All of those lawsuits, they're all been um whatever the word dismissed. That's missed!

SPEAKER_01

That's missed dismissed because you paid. I know. Yeah, no, I do love that. I Lisa Barlow is another person who like I know people are obsessed with. I find her deeply frustrating. Yes. But she's perfect for reality TV. Of course. Like she's so beautifully delusional. She's great. I do find when she d had like a little moment when she's like, I'm really hard on myself after the play. I was like, oh, there's a human being here.

SPEAKER_00

Like that was somewhere in the true, true, true, true. But I think she yeah, she just wants to be the life of the party, the centre of attention. We can all relate to that. We can but sometimes we just uh concede that that's not happening.

SPEAKER_01

But she will never I do love her her um tactic, this reunion by not not getting activated. And she's just sitting there like a statue. It's so funny. She's such a delusional, strange person, but the way she's the way she's I'm gonna have a little snuffle in the microphone from Frida. Um the way she's sitting there trying to be unbothered makes her look like an actual unstable person. It's so good.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, yeah, they all have different sort of like tactics. Yeah, well they're just trying to seem flopping. It's like the Olympics flapped.

SPEAKER_02

Hey, doggy, oh we're gonna be like.

SPEAKER_00

But no, I'm kinda happy to see this last reunion bit done for Salt Lake and what's like starting soon.

SPEAKER_01

Is Miami coming back soon?

SPEAKER_00

I hope so. I feel like Miami. Except I don't know who's coming back or what's going on there.

SPEAKER_01

Do you reckon they'll ever make Adriana full time?

SPEAKER_00

Nah, and I hope they don't. Because she's another one you gotta keep there. You gotta keep her there because she's thirsty.

SPEAKER_01

Does anyone make as many like plot lines as a friend of other than Adriana?

SPEAKER_00

Marisol, but Marisol's not a not a main either, but I feel like their rivalry need it. No, she's so rich.

SPEAKER_01

Exactly. I fucking love Marisol. She's so rich, but she just has fun.

SPEAKER_00

They're just there. Also, like Kiki's not man either. What the fuck? Yeah, no, that is crazy. That's a show called cast. Friendovs are punching about their yeah, bring that back. I'm excited for that. Um, are you watching any of the like other Bravo shows like the Valley or the Valley Persian style or something that started from the beginning?

SPEAKER_01

Married to Medicine, Atlantic.

SPEAKER_00

I've heard it's really, really good. Alright, I'll have to give that a go.

SPEAKER_01

Genuinely kind of like just interesting. Yeah. Especially the relationships and their marriage to medicine. It's just a really interesting bunch of people.

SPEAKER_00

I'll have to give it a go because you're now like one of a few people.

SPEAKER_01

It's really good. And there's so much of it. I love starting something from the start and knowing I have so much to look forward to.

SPEAKER_00

I love that, but I also, you know, doing this pod, I've committed myself to recapping so many shows, and I'm like, and we're about to approach a busy period for me. What's a busy period? So Australian Survivor starts. We've got a date now, everyone. We do. Feb 23. Great. But no JLP. Which I'm a bit like. We'll see. Do you like old mate Dave Gnay?

SPEAKER_01

You know, whatever his name is. I mean, like, you know, he's a big handsome man.

SPEAKER_00

He's a big handsome man.

SPEAKER_01

And he speaks with authority.

SPEAKER_00

Yes.

SPEAKER_01

We'll see. I think I think I'm gonna remain open.

SPEAKER_00

I'm gonna give him a chance. Yeah. I I'm really looking forward to this season. Um, I've got some good guests lined up. Oh, great. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Former contestants. A few.

SPEAKER_00

Yep, yep, yep. Uh, and then MAFs is also on, which I dabble in because I get FOMO when I find out that it is, in fact, unbelievably good. Yeah. So I will keep an eye on MAFs. I will probably drop a few ips on that. Uh Blow Deck Down Under is back. That too. We're gonna do that as a little bit of a little bit more. We'll see the crossover episode. And we get exactly the reverse camera angle. Which I'm excited for that. And then fuck, and then Drag Race Down Under is back. Oh, is it? Um, versus the World. Oh, okay. They're dropping so much preview teaser that I can only assume that's coming, I don't know, soonish this half of the year. So this happens to me every year, like it all comes at once. It's a full-time job watching TV. It is a full-time job. It really is. Someone's gotta do that. But um, yeah, so you're welcome to come back and talk to me about any and all of those.

SPEAKER_01

I'll do my research, I'll make sure I'm on top of it. Maybe when Miami's back.

SPEAKER_00

Um, before we go, tell us the dates again for Adelaide Fringe and Melbourne Comedy Festival.

SPEAKER_01

Adelaide Fringe will be the 20th of February to the 1st of March. I will be there. And Melbourne Comedy Festival will be April 13th to the 19th.

SPEAKER_00

Stun. Yeah. Venues?

SPEAKER_01

Uh Adelaide, I'm at the Dom Polski Centre, which is the Polish Club. I'm in the basement.

SPEAKER_00

Perfect. Perfect.

SPEAKER_01

Basement of the Polish Club. And uh in Melbourne for Comedy Festival, I'm gonna be at a new venue called the Motley Warehouse. So the Motley Bow House in Carlton are opening a new multi-site venue in the city. Actually, right now. Yeah, Queenford Market. Oh, okay. Um yeah, so I'll be in there and there's gonna be like 60 other shows at the same time. It's gonna be a lot of fun. A lot of fun. And I'll be like, why can't I hear my show and I can only hear everyone else's show? Anyway, hopefully they soundproof it.

SPEAKER_00

Well, I'm excited. Thank you. And yeah, looking forward to coming and checking it out in April.

SPEAKER_01

Thanks for having me.

SPEAKER_00

Thanks, Eva. Bye-bye.
